Pros:
- there is an actual course here even if it looks more like a practice area
- good distance for a 9 hole course
- ample parking
Cons:
- completely flat
- no tees
- no tee signs
- baskets are portable baskets with a single layer of chains
- basket for hole 7 appears to be missing
- no navigation aids whatsoever
- very long grass and/or tons of grass clippings depending on area
Other Thoughts:
As others have said this feels like more of a practice area, but there is a full course here. It's pretty mediocre and completely wide open, with virtually no obstacles whatsoever. Wind can be a factor here, and nobody will likely bother you. It's a shame when no effort is put into setting up a course as I can't imagine hardly anyone playing this course.
The baskets are temporary baskets with minimal chains but they work fine in general. Navigation is extremely confusing as there are no tee signs, navigation aids, or tees. This is about as bare bones as a course gets but aside from hole 7's basket missing, it is all there and the length is decent.
Personally, I wouldn't even bring a beginner here as it doesn't really show how fun disc golf can be. There is no challenge besides some of the distance, no elevation change, and no intrigue at all. If you just want to practice drive technique, it's good for that and you'll have plenty of space. That's about the only pro I see here. Parking is shared with the Concordia tennis courts but there should be plenty of space.
They were mowing the grass while I was playing but clearly hadn't in a long, long time. Either it was very long or where they had mowed there were huge clumps of clipped grass that gets into your shoes and was kind of a pain. This area clearly isn't a major priority (shocker) but it's still in decent shape.
