A course in West Oaks area runs around a flood control pit with baseball and soccer fields in the pit. The flood control pit and will be full of water if there has been recent flooding in the area. There are also some areas on the course that stay wet (swampy, not really water) so be careful. The tees and pins tend to alternate between the top of the edge of the pit and being either on the slant or in the pit, so there is actually a lot of elevation differential for Houston. Very few trees, but several have been planted directly in the path of the hole so as to make obstacles to shoot around.

From West Oaks Mall (Westheimer Rd. and HW 6 S) go South on HW 6 until you get to Westpark Dr. (by the Wal-Mart) turn right on Westpark Dr. then and take the first left (Summit Valley Dr) to the park.
