Pros:
Has hole number signs that are pretty cool.
Gravel tee boxes are nice
Baskets are new
Cons:
Everything else.
Seriously, this course has some major issues from not just a design standpoint, but in upkeep too.
Other Thoughts:
What could have been a nice little 6 hole course in a neighborhood just falls flat on it's face.
1st off, you have to walk past the playground to get to hole one. Simple hole with the tee pad pointing straight and the basket is off to the right. There is nothing between the basket and the tee, why have the tee face a different direction?
2nd hole is actually pretty cool, the park is actually a flood control area and the basket is hidden behind the dam in a small group of trees.
3rd hole has some clearing issues. The hole throws across a walking path, that is one problem, but a tree has fallen and there is no real flight path to follow. The worst part is that tree has been there for a very long time.
hole 4 is ridiculous. Why make a 250ft hole that is a very hard dogleg left? Throw your disc 50ft straight laying it up, then throw the 200ft upshot to save your 3. On top of that, this area is not mowed.
Hole 5 is a decent little hole although it needs to be mowed.
Hole 6 is another crazy dogleg. You could actually throw directly at the basket but the window is very small. The shot is a big booming hyzer, however it is impossible to get the 2, you will just be throwing out into the field for a layup and get your 3.
Then the even longer walk back to your car.
Would I play here again? Heck no, this course sucked. I gave it a 1.5 only because a couple of the holes were OK. The upkeep and the design of the course left something to be desired. There is enough room out there to put a short little pitch and putt 9 hole course for the neighborhood kids. Something they could enjoy playing. This course is not it.
