Description
18-hole course with two concrete tees and two permanent baskets per hole making four playable layouts. The course is moderately wooded with pines, oaks and various other trees/bushes. The course has a nice variety of technical shots and some fairly open shots to let the disc fly. For Central Florida, the terrain is flat-to-somewhat hilly. Thick Sawgrass lines several holes so watching full flight of disc is mandatory, water is in play on two holes. Short tees (red) to short baskets (orange) recommended for rec/intermediate level players. Long tees (blue) to long baskets (blue) recommended for advanced/pro level players. Course not recommended for beginners. Entrance to the course is a dirt road located approximately 1/4 mile east of the intersection of SR17/98 and CR 640 (Homeland-Garfield Road). Look for two small brown signs that read "Model Airplane Field" and "Horse Riding". There's a temporary white paper sign underneath that says "Disc Golf". Take dirt road ~1/2 mile, parking is on the right side of the dirt road near the practice basket (located on left side of road). The first tee is through the fence and to the left of the practice basket. Bathrooms can be found at the park entrance, there are no bathrooms or other ammenities located near the course.
