Disc Golf Course Review FAQ
Categories
Disc golf is essentially the same as ball golf, except that instead of hitting a ball into a hole with a club, you're throwing a disc into a basket (no club). Most of the terminology is the same (you drive the disc down the fairway, hopefully avoiding the rough, toward the hole). Disc golf fairways are typically (but not always) shorter than ball golf fairways, as you can physically drive a ball with a club much further than you can throw a disc. Disc golf therefore offers a shorter, more compact game, usually with more tightly packed obstacles (trees, bushes, water, hills, etc.), forcing the golfer to choose from a number of "lines" to the basket.
