Middle Creek DGC
Cary, NC

Hole 10, Par 3
Red: 235'
White/Blue: 336'

11-17-2011, 09:02 AM
Short: probably an Ion, no tee pic that I found
Long: Axis, looks like a slight L to R finish is needed to get down to the bucket

11-17-2011, 09:05 AM
wizard from the short, beat roc from the long.

11-17-2011, 09:09 AM
Hydra from the short, beat in dx roc from the long to thread the needle

11-17-2011, 09:26 AM
From the Tee in the pic, I would thumber a Flick right into the gap. looks like the trees will eventually stop it and give me a shot at a 2. (which I will miss long then miss short coming back and that sounds about right)

11-17-2011, 09:29 AM
Aviar from the short, beat roc from the long.

denny ritner
11-17-2011, 09:33 AM
love it, once again, comet from either tee

11-17-2011, 09:42 AM
Short: hard to say without a pic.
Long: Flick RHFH through the gap, nice skip to the green for a drop in 2.

11-17-2011, 09:54 AM
oooooooo, fun

champ glow leopard from the long

11-17-2011, 10:17 AM
easy, I actually play this one

Long: RHFH Pro Beast

11-17-2011, 10:19 AM
Downhill turnover onto a dirt surface. Prolly a beat DX Aviar from either tee and just slide 'er up under the basket.

11-17-2011, 10:22 AM
Short: Ion
Long: Beat DX Roc or an Ont Roc

11-17-2011, 10:23 AM
ft roc from both for control

11-17-2011, 10:26 AM
Wow that looks tight. Probably a comet from either tee as it is easily controlled with the least effort for me. Probably taking a 5-6 on this one though.

11-17-2011, 10:28 AM
aviar/beat roc

11-17-2011, 10:38 AM
finally, my home course gets in the HOD...

this hole is a bia bia from blue. you have to work it slightly left to right but if you come back to far right you either hit a tree and ricochet 900 feet left because of the height and how the land really slopes right to left, or you land off to the right of the fairway which basically means you're imprisoned by tree jail and have to pitch out. super risk reward hole.

I used to play it safe and flick a banshee down halfway up the fairway, now I always go for it with a MD2 which usually lands me 100ft left of the basket.

11-17-2011, 11:02 AM
Looks like an X Comet shot.

11-17-2011, 11:06 AM
short : kc aviar
long : z-comet

11-17-2011, 11:10 AM
P-MD2 from the long, probably an Ion from the short. They both look downhill.

11-17-2011, 11:45 AM
This hole calls for a buttery soft, CE Like, pearly, swirly, transitional, natural beauty. A disc of this calibre would not even need to be aimed or thrown with good form. You simply open the hand and the disc seeks out it's target. Perfect for this hole of the day.

11-17-2011, 12:18 PM
Short: Wizard
Long: Axis

11-17-2011, 12:22 PM
Z Buzz for the short and a champ eagle for the long

11-17-2011, 12:43 PM
Leopard or XL if you do need to finish right.

11-17-2011, 12:55 PM
Long:beat x buzzz

11-17-2011, 01:07 PM
Looks like its downhill so I'll do ion from both, maybe axis from long.

11-17-2011, 01:09 PM
I got to play this one back in the summer. I have no idea what I threw then. Looking at the pics and distances, I'd probably throw a Warrior of some level of beatness from either tee.

A question for a local: is this the hole where the long tee backs up to the outfield fence of the softball field? (Trying to remember the hole.)

11-17-2011, 01:10 PM
Ion for the short, Z Comet for the long, and I need to visit.

11-17-2011, 01:30 PM
Short: SS Warlock
Long: GL Core (Beat and acts more like a Fuse)

11-17-2011, 01:39 PM
Comet both

11-17-2011, 01:51 PM
Looks like an X Comet shot.

:hfive: ftw!

11-17-2011, 02:04 PM
short - axis

long... axis... looks like an unforgiving tunnel.

11-17-2011, 02:23 PM
Im leaning toward an axis off both tees and just kind of hoping for the best

11-17-2011, 02:42 PM
Pro Leo - RHBH

11-17-2011, 03:01 PM
A question for a local: is this the hole where the long tee backs up to the outfield fence of the softball field? (Trying to remember the hole.)

nope not this one....if your looking down the hole...behind you is the parking lot ...behind left is the playground and soccer fields....the long tee is on the service road.....

i throw a beat Big Bird from the backs....i would guess a beat omega ss from the fronts...

11-17-2011, 03:28 PM
ion short, axis long.

since it plays a little uphill though i may change the axis to a hyzerflipped GL river.

11-17-2011, 05:37 PM
This is a tricky hole. Low ceiling forces a faster disc. I throw a RHFH Wraith probably.

11-17-2011, 05:48 PM
I rarely post on these but I miss this course! This was my favorite course when I started out, challenging for my newbie self, but still fun.

Nowadays I'd rock the Challenger (LHBH) from the shorts and probably a Squall or Buzzz from the longs (depending on if there's any wind).

11-17-2011, 06:07 PM
Long: Pro Leopard

11-17-2011, 06:19 PM
I've played this course many times. Does anyone ever actually play the short? From the white/blue - while it looks downhill, the fairway goes up hill. I normally throw a pro leopard or TL - only birdied it once or twice.

11-17-2011, 06:28 PM
from the long esp impact

11-17-2011, 08:06 PM
Short- Star Aviar
Long- Buzzz SS

11-17-2011, 08:59 PM
Seasoned DX Gazelle from the longs and an Aviar from the shorts.Looks fun.

11-17-2011, 09:19 PM
Star Leopard!!! ROAARRRR!!

elevated plastic
11-17-2011, 09:21 PM

11-17-2011, 09:26 PM
showing my age ... but my beat Valk gave me a putt on this one. missed. still the only hole I haven't birdied at this course.

11-17-2011, 10:13 PM
wizard short, buzzz long

11-17-2011, 10:30 PM
Short: Comet, Aviar
Long: Buzzz/Comet (depending on wind), Aviar
just playin it safe...looks like a hole id be playing pinball if i tried to get one very far down there :p

11-17-2011, 10:46 PM
Beat DX Roc has gotten me a birdie on this hole a handful of times, but I end up way left more often than not.

11-17-2011, 10:47 PM
Short: buzzz or putter depending on the shot

Long: Buzzz

11-17-2011, 10:55 PM
Either shoot a Comet up high and let her float down there, or try to sneak a teebird in there FH. Depends on the day.

11-18-2011, 12:04 AM
Played it many times, and never knew there was a short tee!!! I have also screwed it up many times. Best shots have been with a Fuse or putter. Lower ceiling than you think, and you want to go slightly right half way and hold the line or flex a little back left. A putter that stays down the center will keep you out of trouble. Big fading discs don't end well. Even some mids.

11-18-2011, 12:41 AM
Short; Beat Wizard tossed flat
Long; newer Wizard thrown harder w/ hyzer
Really 336 downhill? why would you disc up for the long pin? Drivers? Really?

11-18-2011, 12:48 AM
if you throw a wizard on a hyzer you are going to be 500 ft left unless you get a gift from the trees

11-18-2011, 01:10 AM
LHBH with a san marino star roc (180g) right into that opening.

11-18-2011, 01:13 AM
Wow, it's been forever since I played this course.

I don't even remember where the short tee is, I want to say it's down the hill a little and more or less straight at the gap, maybe a little to the left.

RED: Ion
BLUE: Tricky. Either a Fuse hyzerflipped to turnover or Axis on a slight anny. Either way, fade is your enemy on this hole.

11-18-2011, 01:16 AM
This looks like a fun one to throw quite a few discs at to see if you can hit the gap. I'd go 10x Aviar, chains Aviar, ESP Buzzz, Kenny Roc, and then my CE TL. I'd get close, but miss with all and be lucky to get par playing the best of the bunch.

Tim S.

11-18-2011, 06:52 AM
Short: Wizard
Long: Big bird roc

11-18-2011, 06:59 AM
Short:fh a flick
long: fh a flick

11-18-2011, 10:07 PM
This hole tees off the sidewalk right? I didn't know about another tee.
I'm throwing a beat Valk at it.

11-21-2011, 06:04 AM
red spike putter RHBH

long champ stingray RHBH
