Heritage Park is awesome, but it can be quite muddy. Given the recent rain, I'm sure it's a mess.

Overbearing is quite understated, but I think you made the right decision. However, it does feel as if he is responsible for about a quarter-disc reduction in the course rating. If it ever stops raining around here, I'm thinking of heading out to Saddle Hills to see what's new.

I did, indeed, enjoy your review. Like you, I enjoy the rugged terrain, but the basket locations really bother me at Saddle Hills. If the different positions are on the same line, or at least in the same general direction, I am willing to throw and figure it out on my second shot. At Saddle Hills, too many of them are completely different and blind from the tee. I have tried very hard to keep my animus for the designer out of my review, but I'm not sure I completely succeeded. I am glad that your unbiased review is now the most-recent one for the course.

The designer has posted comments again on all reviews (except his, imagine that!). They are toned down and really downplay the significance of the sewage leak, but they are not nearly as nasty as before.

Looks like justice prevailed. I wonder if the "designer" was informed about this.

The course update has been changed. It mentions the incident in May but makes it sound like a minor deal that was only a problem for a few hours instead of a leak that lasted 2 1/2 hours and was still a concern for the state six weeks later.

I tend to agree that a ban is a bit strong, but something to keep him from inflating his course (and harassing honest reviewers) seems to be in order. Not sure how to broach that without causing a major uproar.

Thanks for that update, both to me and on the course site. I should have done that, but somehow I didn't think of it. I wonder if when a designer like this one has gone too far there is a consideration for removing him from the site or at least restricting his access or ability to post misleading information. I am hesitant to ask in a forum because one time before when I brought up inflated ratings, etc., I was basically shouted down for even suggesting a review be removed when I stated that I was hesitant to suggest such a thing.

Yes, the May 18 notice is the one. I had to look closely and check maps to figure it out.

Our designer at Saddle Hills is at it again. The most recent review mentioned raw sewage in the creek, which the designer dismissed as a rumor and rebuked the reviewer for writing it. Turns out, the reviewer was told by someone working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, who warned him about the sewage on the day the reviewer played the course. There is a also a public notice on the city of White Settlement web site.
