I recently purchased a
Rocketfish Powerline Networking Kit
so I could actually stream Netflix in my bedroom without constant loading. (It was a 360 problem not a wireless problem) What it essentially does is turns your entire powerline system into a giant ethernet cable. Just hooked everything up and turned on my 360... What do you know it says Wired Connection
. I'm just curious why I have never heard of this thing before and what type of magic is taking place.

I totally need to try that!
Wonder if it would work with my Directv box so I don't have to pull a cable.

pssh.... vibranium, duh.
Fairly old tech, but it's nice to see the prices are cheaper and the interfaces/devices are looking more comercial.

BTW, here's a cool tip/trick. As long as your outdoor outlets are on the same power network, you can plug one end outside, then connect another wireless router and have wireless outside without any wall impedence.

I think this is totally cool. I might get one when I get a Smart Phone. My wife thought this was dumb, but I think this rocks.
