Alpha Zero and now Leela Zero are absolutely stunning chess players. Alpha Zero doesn't play chess now, but Leela is a chess player.

Her moves are very human-like. We built a machine that beat us at chess and then built another machine that beat the machine that beat us...only, the AI did it as a human would with the computational power of a machine.

I love how she plays so well to lock up opposing minor pieces while getting her's into position. The king is always safe or ready to get into a safe square. Pawn positions are truly impressive and the structures are new and powerful.
