for me it's the polecat. but I think that's obvious.
It grips well. It can take some power. It forehands like butter. It floats in the air. It just performs when called upon.
second favorite is the Sonic same as above but doesn't take power as well. still very useful in touchy situations.

I'm fairly new to the lids, but I'm already hooked. I am liking my Sonic for hyzer flips that lock on target and finish with no hyzer. It is just effortless distance.
I also am loving my new Rattler. I parked a 200' hole, that I tend to overthrow with my Pures, by adding a little height and watching it float in slow motion before hyzering ever so slightly and sitting under the basket for a drop-in. I can't wait for the next day I can get out and put in a little more time with it.

Teh Polekat is teh bestest. Me gusta Sonic tambien! I really like the stability of the Rattler but that disc is too deep dish for me I think.

I transitioned from the old pre-thumbtrac Birdie to the Rattler, so it didn't seem deep at all. The old Birdie was OK but the Rattler was more user friendly; it was better at that air bounce no fade shot I liked a lid for. The Piranha was awesome because you could power it, but it is sadly gone. I hated the Polecat; it seemed too shallow to me.
The only lid I use now is a Sonic. Once you figure it out it's a disc you can run right at the basket that won't fade and won't glide past the target. You just have to be careful because it's a touchy bitch and doesn't like wind at all.
My daughter has an old pre-thumbtrac Birdie she swiped out of the stash in her bag.

If my SuperSonic was normal disc golf weight, it would be tits.

I flipped through the stash and found my old glow lid. Lightning used to make everything in glow and I have an old glow Upshot. The Upshot was cool, it had grip rings on the inside of the rim. It was shallow like the Polecat. It actually was a lot like the Polecat. I'll have to see if I have a picture of it someplace on the Interwebz.

Damnit Stiffy!!! now I have to track down Upshots. I don't own any Lighting so it will be a cool addition.

I know, I started looking as well since that one seems to be my last one. We used to use Birdies and Upshots to play catch with and they used to get left at the park all the time. I was pretty good at picking up the rest of my discs, but I probably lost six or seven lid putters by leaving them on a picnic table.

I understand what you mean about the Sonic, 3P. It does what I tell it to do, not what I want it to do...now to get my throw on the same track as my brain
