I bought one of these off ebay as a wall hanger, but it found it's way into my bag at some point. I really don't remember putting it in and was very surprised when I got to the course today. I'd actually swapped out two of my normal Comets and two of my drivers. So I threw it on almost every hole and beat my normal score by three strokes.
Is there a normally available Comet that throws comparable to these? I need a backup!
I normally throw X/Z/Big-Z/ESP Comets in weights from 164 to 172, this MJ ESP-Glo is 174. Would a heavy ESP fit the bill?

The 2018 MJ's have mixed reviews, so I'm not sure there is a consensus on how they fly. Can you compare what yours was doing to your regular ESP Comets?

It felt far less sensitive, like it was more stable, but it didn't have any more fade than a normal ESP Comet. It flew flatter, with less upward movement.
I threw my 164g Z Comet right after it, which acts like I expect a newer Z to fly, it wants to go high, then fade left and forward.

it's a lot more about the shape of the disc. If this was a 2018 run, they have a high shoulder and flatter top - and were specifically made this way for MJ. This is the run that I also prefer. It doesn't matter as much if you want Z or ESP plastic, finding a matching upper half shape is what you need. My first Z comet from 2009ish (still rotates in and out of my bag) has this shape, and I've seen others, it's just a matter of looking in person and getting what you need.
