What is everybodys preferred plastic for the Comet?
Personally, I like a combination of X, Z, and ESP.
X for touch shots and turnovers
Z for a beefier Comet shot
ESP for generic use
If I could only have one Comet in the bag, it would be a domey first run LE ESP (LEs are the only ESPs Ive thrown, I have a lifetime supply of these). In my opinion, it is the best mixture of all the Comet characteristics.

I agree with your findings. I'm testing a light Z for that "one Comet" spot, but ESP currently holds it.
My favorite is a Coral X at 164g. It flies the prettiest hyzer-flips and turnovers and is just a joy to throw.

My go-to is a beat up X/seasoned Z/fresh Z usually for Comets...but recently I've really been digging the production ESP and the MJ 2019 Comet.

I could throw Z's for the rest of my life with no problem. If I had to pick one plastic, it's Z.

I really only carry ESP and X. I do have a few Z, but 99% of the time it's 2 ESP (one new, one worn) and 1 beat X. Specifically, swirly ESP tour series. I don't mess with stock ESP, have 2 LE Comets in my stash I rarely throw (one that has never been thrown even)
