I think he is talking about the Ion's drop rate on putts. The Ion is Wizard inspired, which in turn was largely inspired by the stiff KC Pro Aviar. The stiff heavy versions are perfect pitch putters because of the consistent drop. Softer and lighter Ions stay aloft easier, but still drop more (and straighter) than the other overmolded putter molds at the same weight/plastic type.

Son of a batch.. I had something typed out and it slipped back a page and I lost it.
MVPs newsletter is out. Stabilizer putter 3 3 0 3 Prism Pyro SE fission photon Envy in cosmic plastic! Available in soft, medium and firm with adjusted flight numbers 3 3 -1 2 (My other post was better, but the enthusiasm is gone now) |
I really like the Inertia but I want the same diameter with a little bit more fade. Should I go Insanity, Wrath, or Tesla?

Tesla/Wrath and Motion/Fireball are in the same class. The more OS Teslas are super flat Neutrons and Plasmas. Wraths fly like a beat Tesla. They do have some LSS but have a bit more HSS than a fresh Tesla. More US Teslas would be 160 and 170 class Fission Teslas. I use to throw Inertias but now use the Tesla as my main long fairway/short DD driver. You can get a great spread of flights in the same mold but different plastics and a small weight range. Motion and Fireball are more OS. Firebird is a like a beat in Motion and very similar to a super flat Firebird. Not sure of what the stability you are looking for. If you want to go a bit slower, than a Volt is your choice. Good range of flight possibilities with that mold and plastic variations. |

Played the Minnesota Majestic this past weekend. Had some ups and downs - but the highlight for me was a nice tunnel to turnover shot that held a stable flight once getting a hint of turn then dead straight into the heart of the chains. ACE!!! Axiom Alias laser for the 1. Love that disc.

Just to not answer your post exactly.. If I need more fade I go from the Inertia to a Neutron Wave.. My plasma Wave gets more turn than my Inertia but the Neutron is a nice natural step up. Little larger diameter and a bit more distance. |
