According to Google, Sarah is "about 37 years old," being born in 1982. If that's the case, it makes sense to see her struggle to win against the twenty-somethings. Not everyone can be Elaine King.

I don't want this to be a knock on her at all. From what I hear, she's been a heck of an ambassador for MVP so far. But it would be cool to see her in the winner's circle.

Even if she's not having the best season I think she's an excellent ambassador, very personable, I haven't heard anything bad about her.. In fact everything I've heard is awesome.. Who else bails out of a totalled car, takes penalty strokes for late attendance and still lays down a hell of a round?

I feel like my neutron wraths started pretty close to the old SPD's I threw, maybe feeling a touch faster. Both were straight to a fairly aggressive fade for me, with a great combo of glide and predictability.

If the Wrath flew more OS than PD's for you, what's your take on a flat proton / eclipse Volt VS your PD's? I know you threw PD's longer than I did, giving you more experience with the mold.

My Proton/Neutron Wraths are close to my bookend overstable PDs and tbh are better moderately overstable drivers all around. Most of my PDs were straighter than my Wraths with a longer "push" or glide phase of the flight with a later fade.

Volts have been a very mixed bag for me. In general their stability is remarkably close to the PD with the straight push and late fade, but they are slower and take more effort to go the same distance. My biggest issue with Volts has been consistency. My old flat Protons are like mini Wraths. My original N is pretty straight, but doesn't power down at all. My Eclipse and Plasma are all well overweight and I don't like that heavy feel. On top of all that I just got a flight #'s 174 Proton with slight dome and it flips instead of pushing flat and doesn't really do straight at all. The Volt seems rough to me as well. It has deeper and wider seams between the pieces and doesn't seem to come together as nicely as the newer molds. I'd like to see a rebuilt Volt mold.

Interesting, I have a stack of FR or second run Volts, I haven't bought a new one in 7yrs with the exception of a fission Volt. Really like that at 162 or whatever, the one I know is FR is awesome, small dome 172ish great thrower, the others are flatter and 2-3g heavier, little bit beefy for me at 174/175g. I can't imagine a Volt being flippy... but I believe you.

I have an assortment of Craves a 158N, 150 Pl, 165 proton... interesting mix across plastics in that mold. The 165 proton is definitely living in beefy Volt country, the other two are easyish to throw, resist turn and wind well on a FH or BH and fit a stable control driver slot.

I have a 168g purple Plasma Volt that is a beauty both in looks and in flight. MVP needs to run some more more of these as I can only find max weight one's as well.
Max weight drivers are useless for me.

The lower weight plasmas feel nice and the Electrons are almost seem less. I agree that the Nuetrons and Eclipses feel pretty rough. I have thought of filling in the gap with a bit of rubber cement.... but of course that would be illegal. :wall:

That new Volt is strange. It resists flipping initially like a good Volt, but when it goes past flat it looks like an Amp or an Impulse rather than the -.5 HSS of the Volt.

The Crave is high up on my try list. I may grab one tonight.

Yeah man I really like it.. Especially in lighter weights, at my arm speed all 3 of my Craves are much more throwable than my Volts (except the FR) and do a lot of the same shots more accurately with a more controllable fade, or none just very workable and fairly equal distance to the Volts.

I'm still knocking the new off my 150 plasma.. I think it might break into stable Relay country in a year, the 158 Neutron is just sweet, straight and stable, awesome FH disc for me or a stable backhand.. Took me a while to try it from the flight numbers but it's unique and worth the hype. Just everything I loved about my Volt when I had an extra 50' of power. My 165 Proton is a pig by comparison, haven't thrown it much tbh

I miss my FR Volt. I've never had a disc before or since that flew that line with my natural throw. I would just rip it hard and flat and it would turn a bit and then fade right back to center every time, but on a different flight path than most discs in that speed/stability range. It had a later turn than the others but the fade back was where it was really different. I think those FR Volts really showed off the "forward penetrating fade" (or GYRO action :D) more than any of their other drivers. Had other discs that were close but not quite the same and would have to adjust the angle or speed to get it to fly where I wanted it. Which is fine and all but its nice to just be able to not really think about a shot because you knew all you had to do was throw it... especially when its not going well and you really need a good shot.

There are couple holes around here that its like that disc was designed to be thrown on... Look up no10 at Mt Airy.
