I never liked the sirius SOLS because it didn't stay straight in a hyzer flip for me. I use my sidewinder for that.
Also my SOLS was a weird shape, kinda vulcan-ish. And the plastic was...not pleasant. Dull, hard, and ugly.

1.8? I'm really just looking for info on that run.

Wish I could help you with info on the 1.8s, but I have been tossing the 1.1 QOLSs and they are amazing. Like a much sidewinder with more LSS or something. Very cool and super long so far.

I just received a shipment of used SOLS....a 1.2, a 1.4 and a 1.8

Obviously I have to get them out and work them for ahwhile, but is there any noticable difference in the runs? The 1.2 is considerably flatter, but beyond that?

I just got a Orion LS marked G-4.....what does that mean?

Kodachrome 04-07-2014 09:13 PM

Someone told me they can either be blank with g4 on the back or stamped with a g4 on the back. They said they were protos. The millennium group on fb also told me they're not that rare, like a lot of millennium. Worth a few bucks more over stock, just old plastic nobody really cares for.

was actually just throwing a standard OLS this evening in the field. Mine is pretty beat it and looks to be an excellent hyzer flip disc at 80%ish power. Gonna have to start throwing it more often.

Most under-rated hyperflip disc!

Can someone explain the different numbers to me, i.e. 1.1, 1.6, 1.8? Are those different stabilities? I have a fairly new 1.6 SOLS that feels more stable than my champ teebird. Although the teebird is older, it still has some beef to it.

1.1, 1.2, etc. are the run numbers.

Kodachrome 05-26-2014 03:43 PM

Those are just run numbers. :) so 1.1 is the first, 1.2 is the second, so on and so forth. Each run seems to have its quirks but they were frequently mixed up so you can't really just say run x flies like this or is shaped like that.
