Did Discmania piss off Innova/Infinite Discs? I went on Infinite Discs to see what was available for Discmania. Nadda.....nothing shows up at all. If you click on any other brand, it brings up a list of their discs and whether they are out of stock or not. You can even get details on all the discs, including the out of stock ones. But, an empty page for Discmania.

Could it be that Discmania didn't send Infinite Discs any Meta Tilts to sell and Infinite Discs is punishing them?

Discmania is literally the first manufacturer listed on the tabs on the top of their home page, and they have plenty of listed discs, including the Tilt.

I know they are listed. But every time I clicked on it today, nothing Discmania shows up. I clicked on other manufacturers and it showed that manufacturer's discs.

Now, however, Discmania's page is showing up again.

Yep. I’ll add that Eagle played that Pro-am invitational last week and blamed new putters for a couple of misses. Apparently he dialed it in for the win.

Additionally, Discmania could make a fortune selling Kyle Klein shirts when the discs are out of stock. Better yet, make Eagle shirts with a strike-through Eagle’s name, and Kyle’s written in.

Any of yall that missed out on a Tilt...Discraft released some Sparkle Machete that you won't be able to throw.

Under $25. ;)

Funny way of putting it. I would say you liquified some of your assets and bought something else.

I have also sold most of my not-in-the-bag Discmania discs (that I havent received thanks to being sponsored. my morals dont stratch that far. I give them away if I want to get rid of em). Today was probably the last three. All pretty beat in but still 150-200% increase for what I originally paid for them. The market is crazy. Time to sell.

robdeforge 07-28-2021 08:47 AM

I just want some mutants, and to maybe try out a splice as a complement to sexton firebird

fishballer06 07-28-2021 08:51 AM

I really want to throw the Splice. It feels good in the hand. But I don't want to throw my Primal edition and ruin its value. When will we be seeing the stock runs?

I should say the profits paid for the cart essentially, since the discs went up in value. So in a way, the cart was free. I did have to do some work like take pics and ship discs (PITA) so, not really free either in that sense.

it would be really nice if there was a thread online where we could ask a representative from Discmania questions like that, and receive a somewhat timely answer

They have been timely lately and they don't owe us anything

the opening post of this topic (that a discmania representative started) suggests weekly updates as what to expect.

https://www.dgcoursereview.com/forum...rchid=16030940

doesn't look weekly to me. how long do you think I should expect to wait for a response?

This thread is also 7 years old now...

To answer your question, over the past month, Discmania has responded on:

June 23
June 24
June 25
July 15
July 19

I'm sure we will get some responses within a week or so. I appreciate everything they do for us by answering questions for us on here. Other manufacturers aren't doing the same.

It’s a disc. Have fun throwing it. You won’t put kids through college selling it. You might eventually sell it for enough to buy a cart (or so I’ve heard :D)

that would be cool. I just would like to buy and throw a splice, or know when I can expect to be able to do that :)

Better be on your toes when they drop. Like most of Discmanias releases they’ll probably sell out in a matter of minutes.

hawgdriver 07-29-2021 01:10 AM

Any chance the DD2 makes a comeback? That's the disc for me.

Funny you mention that...

June 23, 2020 - A retooled DD2 was approved by the PDGA. However, we never saw that newly tooled disc get released. Maybe Discmania will comment what happened there (besides the obvious that it wasn't a priority to get molded from Innova at the time).

Looks like it's in the out of production section of their website

The vibe I have is that DD3 picked up DD2's shift.

I've never thrown a DD3, maybe I will feel the same way about it--even if the flight numbers are different.

Flick Maniac 07-30-2021 06:31 AM

You should. DD3 is the shiz.

Quote:

While we’re really happy with where we have gotten in such a short period of time, we have experienced some bumps in the road during our factory ramp up. The main issue has been delays with machine parts. We are still pushing hard to get more machines up and running before year’s end. It’s expected that we’ll see limited production during these next 4-6 months. We’re hopeful that things will have ramped up come early 2022...

You can expect to see the new D-Line P2 stock release to happen in late September or October.
Aside from the new P2s, we are also now running our first C-Line discs, the MD3! Early feedback has been great, with many Team Discmania players, including Simon Lizotte, Eagle McMahon and Kyle Klein immediately adding the C-Line MD3 to their bags. Our best estimates are that we’ll see stock C-Line MD3s released in late September or October...

We estimate that the production run should take 7-8 weeks, which would put an FD release some time in October or November....

There’s more info to come, but for now you can tentatively count on the Cloudbreaker 3 also taking flight in October or November....

The Mutant and Splice on the other hand will be delayed for the foreseeable future due to unexpected production issues. While we work hard to pump these out, you will see a limited run of Mutant releasing soon. The Splice had a limited release in the form of a Primal Run Triumph Series release (shoutout Eagle for that amazing Portland Open victory!). Expect some more clarification with our next production update.
happy to finally get some news about the mutant and splice although it's obviously not what I was hoping to hear. I get that things happen outside of your direct control.... but Discmania should learn how to under promise and over deliver, cause it seems like all they do is the opposite.

Flick Maniac 08-02-2021 11:10 AM

I believe it was the new FD that Jussi said was "ihan saatanan hyvä" in the Finnish newspaper. Translates to "good as ****" :D

VictorB 08-02-2021 11:19 AM

So they open up a brand new facility and immediately have production delays? What a PR disaster.

We know the P2 and DD3 machines work just fine, and they have made MD3s also. They were able to supply their touring pros with the discs they needed. I'd love to be a fly in the wall to hear what's actually going on. It doesn't add up that the just magically can't produce these high demand items

ray1970 08-02-2021 11:49 AM

I’m guessing there is a shipping container or two full of discs sitting in customs somewhere and once they get past the red tape and get these things in the warehouse there should be a bunch of them available.

Obviously, they’ll probably still sell out in about four minutes and will pop up on the secondary market for double retail price. The hoarders or flippers or whatever you want to call them likely aren’t going to go away any time soon.

Probably going to take quite a while before the supply of discs is big enough that that you can buy them easily and the people flipping them will just be stuck sitting on their stash.

discerdoo 08-02-2021 01:15 PM

Neo FDs and PDs would be tasty.

Flick Maniac 08-03-2021 11:55 AM

Not Neo. Italian blend C-line. Although, when they made the C-line blend Tactic they crossed the Rubicon where frankenstein mix n' matching of molds and plastics may happen.

So, are they gonna mark the discs as "Italian blend C-line"? Sounds like a salad dressing.

Flick Maniac 08-03-2021 03:12 PM

Dunno bout that but just that new C-line = not Neo

Entered several hours ago. Wish me luck. It looks like they’ll be giving some MD3’s to 500+ people.

Italian blend C-line Neo Balsamic Vinaigrette Vigilante Vagabonds are dropping soon from what I've heard.

Sounds like something you'd order from the local hipster bagel shop down the road.....

The “new” FD looks like it might be a good clone of the original based off the footage of it. Kind of surprised its been up on YouTube for thirteen hours and no discussion of it here.

I think the real Discmaniacs probably hang out somewhere else. I'll need to feel one to make a determination but that Eyetalian plastic seemed pretty sexy on the Tilt.

phishbiscuits 08-11-2021 10:30 AM

Isn’t the Meta Tilt Lat64 plastic?

Yeah. Pretty sure it’s just opto chameleon or something like that.

Dr. Bogey 08-11-2021 12:09 PM

I threw a Tilt last week. The plastic seemed exactly like regular Opto to me.

I adore the FD but I’m guessing it’ll be a year before the new originals are widely available. No sense getting worked up for what is, at this point, vaporware.
