not for me. the fd2 overlaps with my pd. want something just a tad slower, a legit speed 6, right in the middle of md3 and fd2.

Have you tried our newest Fairway Driver the FD2? If that the type of flight you're looking for, I would most certainly give the FD2 a throw.

That's what we would recommend.

Now, to my question. Does Discmania have any plans to produce a mold or two in the "3" fashion (i.e. Roc->Roc3, Shark->Shark3)?

Our MD3 has the the "3 top"

Slim/shallow, FLAT, overstable, firm/tacky putter. (Rhyno/Zone/Piggy)

Slim/shallow, lots of HSS/with little LSS midrange (worn rocs, onterio cobras, R3)

Flat, pure beef, overtly overstable utility disc (Gator,Whippet,Drone)

granted I absolutely love my stash of firm pro rhynos, flat top gators, and onterio cobras, these are the slots yet to be contested by DM.

ps. I think that flat md2s may be comparable to KCobras but I've never had luck finding one in person, anybody find them similar?

We will keep these types of discs in mind for future productions.

One disc I would recommend if you like King Cobras would be our new 2014 Jolly Launcher MD2s. They start out more overstable and retain their high speed stability.

If it was announced it would be on the Discmania website under the Team tab.

I see. Have you tried the G-LINE FD for that understable Leopard like shot?

Ryan knows better than me, but the flat MD2's I have are like drifty Roc3's. The King Cobras I've thrown had much more fade to them.

I'm by no means an expert on the midranges though, I'm just learning them myself.

The flat MD2 does loose it's high speed stability a little bit where the other two mentioned midranges do not. I would again recommend our new 2014 Jolly Launcher MD2. It sounds exactly what you guys are looking for.

We are sorry you think our shipping prices are too high, we take this very seriously and try to work often with the USPS and UPS to get lower shipping prices.

The FD2 overlaps with the PD for you? I think I understand what you're looking for with slower discs. What types of shots are looking to accomplish with this? Did I miss a post?

Thanks for the comments guys, I am trying to get on here more and more.

gerth_vader 11-12-2014 08:53 PM

im looking for the 250-350 ft, speed 6 :), distance that has no turn and has more than dependable fade. a utility for most but in p line and maybe g line could beat to almost straight.

Yes! I was referencing fasteddies comment about wanting a "Flat, pure beef, overtly overstable utility disc" or basically just a meat hook for a midrange and thought that could be a nice spot for a potential MD4. :)

I know glow md3s are overstable but it would be cool to see a new mid or a stiff/flat runs of the md3s!

Honestly you're just describing the FD2. I think practice is your answer here, not a new mold. The PD is much faster and has more turn, which is what leads me to the practice conclusion.

But that's just my .02, take it or leave it.

New013 11-13-2014 05:08 AM

so... are they ever going to remold the MD1 and make it a less stable compliment..

...or what...

Can we request the S-PD Freak stamp to be on the C-PD?

I would most definitely buy a discmania sweat shirt if its from a good company (nike, underarmour...etc)

RyanisCorriganis 11-17-2014 02:23 AM

I've seen a lot of black KC Aviars and Rocs being released from Disc Golf Values, any chance that some black P-line P2's will be distributed soon?

Flick Maniac 11-17-2014 02:48 AM

microbubble rimmed pop top C-PD2s seem to be incredibly OS. FRs too but still they are far behind these.

tylerc 11-18-2014 11:22 PM

Have s-line pd2s been made in green? If not i want a lime green one with a black stamp..

I think the domey FD2 (most overstable version) is what you're looking for. But we can keep this in mind for the future.

We are working on special releases and test runs that we will get out through the store for next year. All of these are possibilities for the future. Keep an eye on our social media, especially the Discmania Store pages.

The Jolly Launcher run with the bubbles in the rim and a high dome is what you're looking for. The flatter versions of that disc seemed to be less overstable. The current run which is a slicker feeling plastic is almost identical or a tiny bit less overstable than the first run C-LINE PD2s. The Simon Lizotte signature PD2s on the store are this current run.

The dome also seems to play a role in the stability of the PD2.

They are made in a lime green right now. They almost seem to glow, very cool color.

Thanks for all the questions guys!

what other suggestions and comments do you guys have?

onemilemore 11-19-2014 01:24 PM

Discmania dri-fits, please.

Sir-Hucks-A-Lot 11-21-2014 06:11 AM

I'm freaking out a little bit at the prospect of flat MD3s molded in that sweet, grippy D-line plastic. I'm gonna get soooooo many birdies!

whentherainscome 11-25-2014 12:16 PM

Please make a stock run P-FD2s. I would helplessly, reflexively buy them every time I came across one in a rare/swirly color like I do with P-PDs. My CFD2 is the best FH driver but a bit too o/s to be a go-to for BH fairway shots.

My dreams, make them come true.

Columbia gorge 11-25-2014 07:09 PM

I would love to see a good run of md2's please. Get the dome under control. You guys kill it in the driver, putter and fairway areas. Seems like the mid range division is lacking a bit. Maybe it's just me but that's what it seems like.

rallyguy 11-25-2014 10:11 PM

Any flat G PD's in lighter weights in the store?

sjberry2017 11-25-2014 10:15 PM

Undoubtedly this has already been asked in this thread, but have y'all started to consider a release date for the production-run CD2's? I'm looking forward to trying an S-line and C-line CD2

Flick Maniac 11-27-2014 04:05 AM

Lordy, yes! Nicely beat S-CD2 could very well be the end all and be all or discs for me.

gerth_vader 11-28-2014 02:21 AM

how about some gremlin love, would love to see a c-line with some super flat tops

and is x-line(XT pro) out of the question? x-line p2 would be amazing!!!!

elmexdela 11-28-2014 04:50 AM

i cant place my 4 disc order because it says my passwords need to match. ive been trying for the last 15 minutes. help....

edit i had to make an account first...just a suggestion to be able to create account during first purchase. not that big of a deal. thanks cant wait for my discs to arrive!!

got my fat cat paws on an xout pink gpd, xout fd2, xout current run cfd, and an xout gfd.

i traded a great user on here for a sfd a while back to replace one of my perfectly beat stalkers, and well i really took a liking into it. a lot. i have thrown stalkers since my first year i started. i was told the different stabilities of the plastics with the fd can cover all my fairway shots so im trying them out... and i couldnt pass up a pink gpd. haha. xouts cuz i dont give two craps about the stamp, its just cosmetics

Solid pickups! Let me know what you think about the GFD.

I picked up a G-line CD2 170 in purple and a Glow FD2, cant wait to get them! Anyone else pickup the G-line CD2? Very curious to see how this thing bombs this winter!

rallyguy 11-28-2014 06:42 PM

I grabbed a flat, light G PD that I'm excited about and a G FD and Lizotte FD.

I wanted to buy a lot more though but for once my self control won out.

Flick Maniac 11-29-2014 01:51 AM

Jeeez, they have G-CD2s already?? Too bad I am all the way in Finland and that winter is almost upon us. No winter DG for me, thankyou.

im hoping it flips straight outta the box. the sfd was dead straight for me. little fade. really a laser. i love it. if the gfd doesnt flip i picked up 2 dfd at the innova store cuz i mean they were $5 each why the hell not. those hopefully will be flippy out of the box too. worst comes to worst i have two water discs on those dfd

fasteddie 11-29-2014 03:13 PM

I haven't tried the G or D line FD's, I have a beat S-line that covers my understable duties if I power up on it.

I'm glad that you are a fan of the Sline elex I think it's the straightest fairway I've ever thrown, and one of the most underrated.

If the G doesn't flip out of the box, stick with it. Not sure of your power level, but mine flip to flat really nicely now, so I imagine they will flip over for someone with more power.

If not, those D lines are fliptastic.

sjberry2017 11-29-2014 07:40 PM

Since the first run CD2's are out, I'd like to update my question to be when will the S-line CD2s be out? I don't really want to trust G-line (my Teebird3s are fine, but my lighter Skeeter was terrible), so a C-line and two S-line's (1 beat 1 fresh) will hopefully be a great trio.
