This is what im thinking. It sucks that i have to change my forehand because of the gyro but it also lets me know that this gyro stuff is legit.

I just need to get better to unlock it.

Not digging the new PDGA approved disc page. Its just a click and go format instead of downloading a pdf. So you cant just scroll up and down to compare discs anymore...

They have the Trace at 21mm and 11speed and the Flare at 19mm and 10speed. So this should be a 10speed.

Looking at getting a Proxy or two, would like plastic advice. I'm intrigued by the shared core/similar hand feel to Envies, which are my main throwing putters.

I want a putter that doesn't fade out like an Envy. I'm OK with a true straight disc, but would prefer enough flip that it will drift right when thrown flat RHBH. I've been beating in an Electron Envy, but it still stubbornly holds on to its HSS even after losing most of its LSS. I find it less reliable than something like a DX Colt, for example (which I like the flight of, but not the feel).

I have Envies in Neutron Soft, Eclipse, Electron, and Electron Firm. I also really like plasma plastic, although I don't have a Plaz Envy. My local shop has both Neutron and Neutron Soft Proxies in stock, but not Plasma. Is it worth picking up one each of the Neutron and N Soft, or will I get a that flippier flight I want easier from a Plasma? I can always do an infinite order, but would prefer to a) shop local and b) use up a gift card.

Well sounds to me like a plasma is the answer however... based on my experience with Envys and limited experience with Proxies the regular Neutron should also fit the bill. I always found Soft neutron to have less HSS but more late LSS I love the feel but not the flight of soft.

For what it's worth, my soft Proxy is pretty straight even after a couple years i.e., not going to drift right unless you're torqueing it or killing it. That said, I mainly throw my proxy for touch straight shots and I don't really use it much if at all past 250ft... I tend to go with my envy beyond that distance because I know I can power it up and know it'll hold straight. Great combination and they work well together. I think proxy is going to be best at straight in all plastics personally and if you want a turnier flight, might ask some of the spin(?) throwers? but maybe you'd use it differently than I do.

Does the Proxy power down well for you? Is it still straight on 100'-150' approaches, or does it fade out more on shorter throw? I think what I really want is a slower disc than an Envy, but I'm not ready to commit to learning a completely different mold. Proxy is at least related to an Envy.
If a Proxy can be straight with very little fade on sub-150' approaches, then I think it can do what I want it to. If it can hold straight at short distances, then it should be able to easily hold a forced over anny at those low speeds. Otherwise I may need to branch out of gyro. May need to give one of my Colts another look, even though they feel gross in the hand.
