Mine will be here this weekend. I'll let ya know. I have some other goodies in reserve to compare them with.

Not on all of them. But a lot, especially the earlier molds. It has a noticeable little downward bump going towards the top from the wing edge. Never really understood where the name came from or who made it up. On some bottom pieces it makes the disc less stable and on some more stable.

Ok. Thanks.

My eagle PD2 is sweet. It's red with purply swirls and has a nice deep purple stamp. Not as much dome as my pop-top swirls from last year but it feels like a great run. I have something special in mind for this disc so I won't be throwing it anytime soon.

I also picked up 2 of the Swirl DD because I emailed the store and asked if they might have a shot at replacing my flat wraiths. I haven't thrown them yet but they are the best swirls I have ever seen. Bright, lots of color, no grayish tinge.

Chris at the DM store really hooked me up!

Lucky you. I am done buying swirlies directly from DM store, I requested red/orange/yellow or anything bright and was sent two tan ones. They blend right in with the desert landscape here in AZ, super cool.

Same thing that happened with my roaming thunder. I will say, after some use, I am seeing red and yellow streaks showing. Another year or 2, and the swirls will be there.

On a more serious note, leave it in the sun for a week and it’ll change some.. this was mostly purple with weird orange, and it’s getting prettier by the day.

I'll second the UV treatment works wonders on the beige and tan stuff. It seems to me they are swirling in some kind of dye/pigment type thing over a neutral plastic but makes for some pretty muddy stuff a lot of times, with some phenomanal stuff probably at the beginning. Myself I'd prefer just sprinkling in some extra color pellets with the others and make some natural beauty stuff.

thursdaddy 11-11-2018 03:20 PM

Nice, thanks for the info.. I'll give it a shot, hopefully the intense sun in AZ will speed things up some :)

So with the recent Discmania move to Colorado, Will Discmania and Innova still be together? As in Innova players being able to throw Discmania or have the companies broken apart?

jjsl14 11-14-2018 05:56 AM

Please make new runs of S-Line CD3, CD2 and TDx. Orange colour in medium weights!!!

Innova will continue to produce Discmania, so I imagine nothing will change.

RocBottom 11-15-2018 03:14 PM

yeah I saw that the other day. Thanks!

Laputa99 11-16-2018 04:10 AM

it'll be great to have someone here who can give us the real skinny.

What’s the word on the cline MD5 is it flat ? Does it still have a giant bead?

Not completely flat, but the stock run has a reasonably small dome to them. Pretty big bead, it's more or less a gator after all. Feels good in the hand though, and I feel like it flies according to the numbers.

Was hoping they would drop the bead :(

I'll stick with my 1.3 mortars

You still have some of the good ones. My personal favorites are 1.2 and 1.3. I don’t like 1.4 and the runs after as much.

Yep. Agree completely. I was hoping the MD5 was going to be a replacement. It seems Eagle stuck with the Withers gator and Simon doesn't really throw super OS mids. Oh well.

back on topic.

DM mystery box teasers? :D

I'll second the mystery box teaser.

Facebook. Teaser Video too

What is the current most stable run of CD2? Looking for something that flips, turns, but always comes back at the end. I've had trouble finding any glow CD2s, so what's the next best bet?

S-Lines with a bit of dome. Good overstable finish to em. hit me up if you want some :)

fishballer06 11-29-2018 10:43 AM

I really wish the CD would come out in some different plastics. I'd love a MF or color glow in this mold.

Not a production run, but I remember hearing that the Vicich Roaming Thunder CD2's were very stable for the mold. Don't know how much turn they would have

dehaas 11-30-2018 02:00 PM

Snagged one of the d line mds the other day. Fairly flat and the plastic blend was nice.

The nearest course is really technical and fairly short, so plenty of trees to season it up. Seems to me my forehand grip suffers much more than backhand in the cold. I’ve got a gstar mako3 I use a lot at this course but am wanting something more flippy. I think this will be it.

What's first edition mean with these mystery boxes?

The guaranteed special disc will be different between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd edition boxes.

The assorted items may/may not be the same.

Sweet. I think I'm going to take the plunge. I'm low on discs and haven't thrown much discmania, only the freak, which I loved.

I agree with domey s lines. I have experience with glow c line it has more turn and less fade than my s lines. Have you tried a g line pd?

lenfantsuave 12-02-2018 10:39 PM

The stock run md5s have a really nice opaque look. Probably the best looking run of c line since the 2nd run fds and 3rd run pds.

Were any other molds run with this particular batch of plastic?

dehaas 12-05-2018 04:36 PM

I’m curious about how firm or soft the new s line md3s are...

Ajo1125 12-05-2018 10:26 PM

P3x

I’m not a huge fan of flight numbers, but generally they are accurate to a certain extent. The P3x is a great disc but is nothing close to what the numbers suggest imo. Are you ever going to release a true overstable approach disc? P3xx?

I hope for a P4 - Beadless, Flat, Low Profile, speed 3 but actually speed 4, in SLine
