There's 400 1000 rated players. Would be pretty disappointing if he can't crack that group.
I expect him to end the year in the 1010 range along with obviously good, but Paul still giving him 5 throws a round. |

I could see it more if you were saying he could be throwing 1010 rated rounds consistently at the end of the year, but I don't see him ending the year in the 1010 range in terms of his actual rating. |

All hail Brodie!! |

There's a pretty big gap between 970 and 1010. It's a really tough climb for most players

Brodie being newer to the sport doesn't mean that his opinion should totally and summarily be discounted. It IS, however, something that definitely should be factored in as context when listening to his thoughts. Does anybody have a summary of what he has said on the issue (in the podcast with paul, at least)? I looked through this thread quickly and didn't see anything but don't feel like watching the whole video...

I will say I would be more convinced if they talked about other courses more, and not just a basically brand new one that obviously could use some changing up of par 4s |

Brodie is too competitive to not care about winning/ratings.
Also, the more rounds he posts with his foundation buddies helps you understand why the chubby guy left. He is a relentless corny trash talking BRO. Some ppl can take it, others cant. |

His round today is currently rated 994. Currently tied for 9th but 2 throws away from 4th place.

1009 for E . . wow thats a hard course
|
Barry Schultz in 2nd place one stroke off the lead (Paul McBeth of course) @ age 50. Man that guy is really inspiring. What he's continuing to do should be a lot bigger of a story in disc golf than what it is. But I think in order to get any traction in media in disc golf you basically have to be your own megaphone, and he's always been pretty content to lay low and fly under the radar.

His second round was worse, unofficially 944-rated, tied for 14th place out of 32. Looking at the hole-by-hole scoring, he faded badly down the closing stretch. Hard to say if that was Lyme-related or not.

This stands in complete counterpoint to the behavior I have seen firsthand at the events I have run/attended since we came back from shutdown. (and I am only a couple hours away) Players in this area have been very conscientious about social distancing. |
Brodie held his breath the whole time so it's not his fault.
|
He's going to be on the rd1 live card at DGLO this weekend.

Will be interesting to see if his Lyme issues recur. Toboggan is pretty wide open, long, and has lots of ups and downs--quite the strain. Not much hiding from that late July sun out there...
|
Looks like it will be partly cloudy on sat and sun that might help. Looks like it may even rain sunday...
