Out of box I could throw it flat/straight and get a nice fade that didnt crash or skip aggressively. Now that I have one seasoning in I am finding the flex shot control to be outstanding. I mentioned this in a previous post, but it will be removing my season star firebirds. Very much different discs in their own right, but for flex shots and my use of both mold, the FD3 has been superior.

I ordered two and have bagged the bubble rim dayglo since it arrived. I love how HSS it is and the distance control I can get with it. It has been pairing perfectly with my s-line DD's which I was use for max Distance flex and flip shots. This one I can hang out left (LHBH or RHFH) and let the disc to the work and crash right. Or can keep flat and straight and fight the wind. Glad to see him get this disc! I need to get two more dayglos

Thanks for the info, We'll certainly be making more of the Nate Sexton C-LINE DDs.

DM picked me out a sweeeeeeet swirly S line PD2 that I've been crushing. I throw P2, MD3, FD, FD2, and PD2 a lot i wish I could throw my FD3, PD, and DD's more

You did, All is well! I'm reppin' DM all over the place, and got to hang out with Eric Oakley as he came through MN twice, played visionquest with him, rode the RV there! Y'all picked a good dude to tour and spread the brand.

Road tripped Des Moines Open as well! I'm full hype mode with discmania.

Thanks for the feedback on everything. We really appreciate it!

Most definitely. The FD2 is THE OS mid in my bag. Powered up, it will fly straight with a reliable fade, but powered down I can make it work on those OS mid-range lines.

Hm, maybe we should recommend this when people call in to the store. Thanks for the insight :)

This might open a new aspect of my game. A few years ago I embraced the "disc up" option, as I'm not a total power player, (use fan grip almost exclusively and pride myself on wooded courses hitting lines)

if something is on the top end of a mid range, I'll go up to the fairway driver to hit it at controlled power. I'm also a midrange lover also because of the control factor, usually because of the "fade control"

Never really considered bringing out the stable drivers for 150-225 OS lines, now I have another reason to play Acorn again :)

From my memory (before they re-did everything) The FD2 would have done me a lot of good there. Hole 2, 3, 6, 8, 15 and 17 would have been attacked with the FD2 for me :)

When can we expect 7th run CPDs to show up in the store (I know that the Avery stamped max weight ones are up)? My 167 Zam Stamped CPD is my favorite C-Line run so far.

We will be working on getting them up as soon as we can, we're really sorry for the delay.

Can confirm. Aced Acorn hole 11 200ft blind dogleg right with FD2 last tuesday league :)

Only played the old layout twice and would have never considered playing there but the new layout with the new rose baskets is actually really nice, and would be down to play rounds there, depending on player traffic. Really nice upgrade.

Nice :)

I just gotta say, my c-FD is my jam right now. Love the feel of it, very comfortable, very controllable disc. If (when if the winky smile above means what I think it does) these come out in p line, it might just replace the bulk of my drivers, all but the most overstable.

Between PD for forehand, FD for backhand, and my maniacs, I'm throwing discmania a lot more often. Keep it up!

Thank you for the info and review. I can't say it enough, it's very very valuable to us!

Every power up the P2? We see Simon and Paul do it often... Especially at the Ledgestone.

This might take a while to get used to the idea - before I learned the beauty of Midrange Drivers, I was just a frolf punk throwing drivers off the tee on a 185' hole. It's a culture shock to think of going back to drivers off the short tees.

Oh, the definition of a frolf punk is a one disc wonder, usually an IDye Wraith used for every shot including tomahawks on said 185' open shot, with a turbo putt to finish it off

That's a new one! Frolf punk :)

It is great to see a company rep on here and active in replying to responses.

I normally do not spend too much time in this thread because as of a week ago I did not have any Discmania in my bag. However, I have rediscovered the C-Line FD and immediately put several in. However to that however, I am having trouble finding the exact color and weight I want. I have two big bags, a Lat Luxury and a Grip A14. I use the Grip for everyday rounds and league play, but when it is time for the bigger rounds and tournaments, I break out the Luxury. I have always thrown a mixed bag but in my Luxury I want them to fit in with my color scheme; all white and only if that is not an option it needs to be "water" blue. I want C-Line FDs, preferably 172ish.

I will ask more directly in the marketplace, but I am putting it out here in hopes of hearing that what I am looking for actually exists.

I believe, and have been told, that this is a 5th run. The camera did not do the color justice, so if I cannot find white, this is close to the secondary color I am looking for. I am hoping to find these FDs in white because I have not heard of Champion Thunderbirds being made in white (not throwing glow) and they sit next to the FDs in the bag.

That is indeed a 5th run, I don't know of many with that exact color. We can look around and if we find some we can have som more made.

I have a question, and i'm sorry if this was already answered. I recently found an old First Run s-line DD at my local play it again. Disc flies amazing but i noticed on the back of it the markings say *AW and i was wondering what that stood for and if the disc is valuable and shouldn't be thrown. I think regardless i'm going to throw it because it throws amazing. Just wondering about the markings. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

AW was originally Anhyzer Wraith. The top on most of our drivers is referred to as the "Anhyzer Top". We have found in our testing we can throw lower lines with higher power when we throw comparable discs. Maybe we need to put together a montage on different ways we can throw our discs. This anhyzer top could be why a lot of people consider us a "Pro Only" brand because it tends to make most of our discs very overstable.

I believe that is Anhyzer(top) Wraith? I'm not sure of value; probably not something crazy.

Some people are very very picky about finding those exact DDs.

looking for clarification ... again..

are all current production CPD2s made with blizzard tech?

every single CPD2 (cfr, stock stamp, etc.) in my stash have bubbles in the rim, is this from a specific run?

All of the current C-LINE PD2s have the bubbles in the rim. We have found that we can get more consistent results this way. About the Runs: you can usually tell the difference by two major things: Bubbles in the rim and the dome. Since all of yours have bubbles you would have 3rd, 4th, and 5th run C-LINE PD2s. The 3rd run has the pop top and very very overstable. The 4th and 5th run are both flat and have bubbles, the 5th run is harder to see the bubbles in the rim because it's a little more hazy looking. Hope that helps :)

It stands for "anhyzer wraith". Its discmania's signature "anhyzer" top on a wraith rim, which is a DD. My understanding is that the first run was planned to be sold by innova, but Dave decided to sell the rights to Discmania, and the disc then became the DD.

I don't know about value, but I know that hardcore DD guys LOVE AW's.

Yeah, they do love them like crazy :)

they all have the same monster pop top as my Slines and have bubbles, 3rd run for sure in that case?

Any idea if we can expect s and p line pd2 in the 165-170 range?

Kuori 09-12-2015 04:01 PM

Hey! I've been loving the Simon Lizotte signature swirly S-line FD3. Everything including the stamp is just amazing.

So could we be seeing Simon Lizotte Signature FD coming out in that sweet swirly S-line plastic anytime soon? It is the only thing I'm missing in my life right now.

DinosaurThunder 09-20-2015 09:41 AM

I saw that McPro Aviars were produced in green. Does that mean we could get some P2's in green? Green with a white stamp would be amazing for putting. :)

Jlee 09-20-2015 02:54 PM

Any word on where I can get some more pearly champystar first run s line pds? The nice meaty flat ones!

yes, take a look at our "Early Run S-LINE PD" on the Discmania Store. I think that's what you're looking for.

We have a swirly S-LINE FD out right now. But, since simon does not throw the S-LINE FD we haven't really considered it.

We will do our best to get some up for sale if we have some.

Yes, that would be the 3rd run for sure.

Why have G-line PD2s not been put into normal production? I've been lucky enough to get my hands on a couple and want more!!

(I'm guessing that they're going to be so awesome that DM is having to mass produce them to keep up with the demand. :p)

Paypal at the ready! :) I love my swirly green mini's you guys made for me. Would be a great combination of the two.

Can you hint at the possibility of a DM disc being in the USDGC players packs again?

fasteddie 09-23-2015 09:22 PM

what's the official ranking on the PD2 on the stability of flight between runs?

what is the most overstable run ever?
