I think the eclipse is pretty awesome and soft electron is a nice compliment, well done sir!

I didn't think there were many eclipses around but I saw those on infinite.. I snagged two backups last month from a Canadian guy. I didn't want to miss out I really like those eclipses! They are some of my straightest right out of the box.

Yes, they are the ones with the bombs and they are selling pretty quickly. I used to throw an Envy a ton and after last week I kind of wonder why I stopped.

I'm feeling Reactor indifference as well today, pulled out my recently found eclipse envy, glow z comet, and reactor.

Light Gale warning some headwind... the difference between the 169? Eclipse envy and 174 reactor was staggering.. The reactor was less stable into a headwind.. Part of it is I don't have enough juice to use it as a straight to mild fade disc if I was throwing it 350+' I'd rank it like a tursas at 280'. Controllably understable with a gentle bite.

At my power level it is on the threshold of anything in a headwind with that stupid panning fade. Haha. It's at a bad spot for me stability/weight wise. I don't think it will make it as a stable mid, well not for wind duties, looks like the crave is still sitting pretty out of boring consistency.

Reactor is just not for me. I don't like most Mids though - so it's no surprise.

Played my 100th course last week. Yay! Only took 22 years to get there.

Finally got to start breaking in my Proton Defys. Gonna take some time but I think they'll beat into a longer Tesla. Right now they are pretty meaty - but not so much I can't work them into a good flight line. They are gonna be great in Missouri wind.

The USPS lost crave finally showed up today - a month after I ordered it. We got 2 ft of snow yesterday so might be a few before I get to work it out.

I want to try some beefier low 160s Proton Waves - the high 150s Neutrons were not cutting it.

I really need a Teebird. I keep hoping for that release to hit but they keep underwhelming with more cosmics re-runs. Thinking about giving up and trying a low 160s proton volt.

^^ 169g proton Wave is the only gyro driver that's stuck in my bag for US distance. Definitely flippy but can bomb with a tailwind or elevation. I like it better than the SE fission and I can't beat a Wraith in enough to replicate it.

Volts are pretty sweet too but I'd have to figure out what to do with all of my beat PDs if I bagged them.

That crave might do a decent teebird impression for you. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for in a teebird, but my crave fills that hole for me.

Or the Volt.. You won't find a low 160g in proton (or neutron), you must go fission for a Volt under 170g.

Moose33 01-29-2021 09:58 AM

^worth it though. If/when I run out of Tyrants I’m going to Fission and Plasma Volts.

ThrowaEnvy 01-29-2021 11:59 AM

Yeah the Volt really is a gotta try mold.

ThrowaEnvy 01-30-2021 10:15 PM

All this Volt talk.. Haha or maybe it's just me. Saw an Ezra A video about low to high snapping the nose down, read sw22's battering ram thing again after one of his hyzer pendulum rants for the nth time. I think something clicked or more like some rusty gears started grinding anyhow..

I wanted bigger discs so I. Can feel the weight shift action.. More go with it then arming it.

Played a yard round, felt like 180 comets, FR volts, and a plague doctor soft envy were the right decision. I can't usually get the Volts to do what they used to years ago but I got some good straight shots just focusing on the whip. Feels good but kinda OAT ish.. But it's a good feeling, good movement and less arm action. Got some blazing lasers with the volt. Just as impressively got some mild turnover lines and big Comet distance!

Feels good to get those Volts moving again! I almost threw the wrong volt, I got one I field tested maybe two throws.. It's still got silver sharpie marking the weight at 174 on the rim. I kinda miss that.

Before i tee off with my Volt now i say out loud "this ones for Jamie Conrads"...

Im gonna help lead people to the Volt. Lots of chatter around the league too. Sounds like his TS Volt will be popular. Hopefully it comes out flat and straight. Iam afraid it will be a slightly domed cosmic version that is ridiculously overstable.

ThrowaEnvy 01-30-2021 11:42 PM

Funny I prefer my slightly domed ones.. They're FR though.. Good glide and not as beefy as my flats haha..

I might buy a new one but not because of JC haha. It's a good disc that I've wanted to bag again for a while. I think his first dgpt tourney is Vegas around end of February, I will be excited to see it though.
