Yes! That reaction walk off of 7

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 04:02 PM

**** chastity belts, lol.

Bigtex 03-12-2020 04:03 PM

brodie is one stroke behind eagle. hehe

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 04:08 PM

Another nice comeback putt after giving a death putt birdie a half run and sliding down the hill.

Next hole seems a lot harder now that its a par4 lol. If he gets out of here with a 5, I'd call it a win...

Jimb 03-12-2020 04:16 PM

Now I'm going to have to subscribe to see the post produced round. :D

BuiltTooLong 03-12-2020 04:17 PM

is there no chat?

BuiltTooLong 03-12-2020 04:18 PM

3 card backup currently.

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 04:18 PM

Big backup on hole 9. One group on the tee waiting in front of live card.

One of the reasons I didn't want to sub.

Bigtex 03-12-2020 04:20 PM

Other than that surprise, he's playing quite safe and conservative so far, which is smart.
Meanwhile Paul freaking posterized hole 4, I think that's the best I've ever seen this hole played.

It's called "scoober" in ultimate. Scoober.

Bigtex 03-12-2020 04:34 PM

Thanks A Ray;)

You know how we're always a bit different here in Texas. Down here we call it a "pancake" shot.

Martin Dewgarita 03-12-2020 04:37 PM

There it is again, scoobering it just about into the bottom of the basket from c2

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 04:41 PM

Got out of there with a five after playing plinko off the tee.

Martin Dewgarita 03-12-2020 04:50 PM

his comeback putts are solid

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 05:08 PM

Nice par on 12

Martin Dewgarita 03-12-2020 05:25 PM

Nice C2 bird - star frame

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 05:26 PM

Nice downhill birdie putt on the triple mando hole after leaving he shot a bit right and short.

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 05:34 PM

Back 2 back birds now at +1 thru 15

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 05:45 PM

You can definitely see the nerves a bit on his approach shots. Left at least 4 shots out there by not getting his layups and approaches closer.

rocthecourse 03-12-2020 05:49 PM

Jomez video of Brodie and McBeth playing a practice round.

Jolt 03-12-2020 05:51 PM

That approach on 16 could cost him a place on a fun 2nd day card. .and a chance to have a better R1 than two of the highest rated players in the world

Ehh… chances are likely he will have at least one OB on the last two holes.

Jolt 03-12-2020 05:54 PM

jepp, those two last holes looks to play HARD today

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 05:56 PM

Shanked his FH on 17 tee but got lucky to be knocked down inbounds

Nice recovery shot to the corner.

Yep. Not a single birdie so far on 18

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 06:02 PM

Very nice FH to give him a chance at par. Actually got a bit of a bad break not to catch the thicker grass and be a near tap in.

...and cans the par putt. Very nice par after a total shank off the tee and catching a lucky break.

ChrisWoj 03-12-2020 06:09 PM

Clean finish for a 980s tournament debut.

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 06:10 PM

Gibson says..."No birdies? Hold my beer."

...and then misses, lol.

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 06:13 PM

Playing with fire on 18. Just barely inbounds after nosing up his drive a bit and then just barely cleared the water on the up shot. Has a tough ish par putt.

Just left it a bit low on the uphill putt.

That was a solid round from brodie

brutalbrutus 03-12-2020 06:23 PM

Getting Freaky with the 1 800 976 BroD:D

VictorB 03-12-2020 07:19 PM

Brodie shooting right in the range I thought he would (64-67) He has skill, composure, and finish. He's obviously lacking experience. I hope he shut a lot of people up. Not many people shooting g a 976 in their first real tournament round. He didn't disappoint.

Needs Mike C. to make this DGCR dream card.

Yup.

At the pace Brodie is improving he will have a better rating than Jaime in a few more rounds...
