She got 30 or so of my friends to show up for a round of night golf (doubles tourney) at our local course. She had glow sticks, mini LEDS, packs of discs pre-prepared for the non-discsers, food, drinks, trophies, and these custom made minis for everyone in a variety of colors including some glow ones. It was really cool. :D

And then she went on to win the tournament!!!

Congratulations to the The Valkyrie Kid on earning the highest reviewer honor on DGCR. Thank you for the wealth of information you've provided to the community and your dedication to the sport and reviewing.

I have created a very special TR "mini" for the diamond level that I hope you will enjoy.

Thank you again for your dedication to the site and the sport!

Thanks I recieved the wooden "Diamond Level Reviewer" disc today in the mail yesterday. It surely is a pretty thing. I couldn't wait to try it out. So this morning I headed down to Riverside (my home course) to give it a throw. It's kind of hard to grip having no lip. I was probably only getting maybe 75 foot out of it. It didn't work much better as a putter. I had no accuracy at all. Fortunately, I didn't hit any trees but that's mostly because I couldn't throw it all the way to the trees.

I guess now I'll retire it and hang it on my wall along with a couple of plaques of little league baseball teams I coached and a couple from high school state football games I officiated.

Thanks again Tim for this site and all you do. I'm happy to be a part of it.

Wouldnt it be something to get a cubby ace with the diamond TR mini (that isnt really a mini).

Hey its a floater too, no need to carry a dragon anymore!

howardb 01-28-2010 02:52 PM

Awesome....Kudos guys...great work!!

cc0049 01-31-2010 07:51 AM

That looks sweet! If I ever get to diamond level, I'll have to see if I can get another red and green mini...I've lost them both now. I still have my blue one for gold though! It would be cool to have the hole collections, like pictured. Something to shoot for.

skinner21 02-10-2010 12:45 PM

I am really impressed with that "mini". both timg and the valkyrie kid are kick ass.

NothinButChing 02-10-2010 12:46 PM

discs dont do it justice

humchris85 02-12-2010 11:06 PM

That is beutifull. I still have a few more reviews to go before I can get my hands on one of those.

BrotherDave 02-26-2010 01:35 AM

One day, you will be mine. Oh yes. You will be mine.

prerube 02-26-2010 08:43 AM

BrotherDave, Solomon.Trenton, and I are all reaching for the gold,
Too bad The Valkyrie kid cheated to beat us to diamond, did you know he is also Marty McFly, Zenbot, mashnut, 80playedin10states, Leppard, and TimG? :)

It's a script I wrote that I run from time to time to check out where I stand in the grand TR scheme of things.

sillybizz 09-15-2011 07:18 PM

The top 15 is dominated by us Washington State boys, just saying! :D

Jukeshoe 09-15-2011 07:29 PM

Congrats Eric!

Man, people need to start up'ing Donovan's reviews so he gets enough unique voters. He also deserves the Diamond medal, imho.

mashnut 09-15-2011 07:34 PM

Nice work Eric!

The Midwest is well represented too.

sillybizz 09-15-2011 07:56 PM

It's because the courses are so crappy around us (Chicago, Seattle for example) that we have to find others to play, LOL! :p

Hoping my buddies Cefire and Jr Stengele get to diamond soon. Congrats Eric! I've got about 150 votes till 1000 and about 150 unique voters to go. :)

bcr123psu 09-15-2011 08:08 PM

Good job Eric!!!! Congrats!!!

harr0140 09-15-2011 08:50 PM

Welcome to the club buddy . . . may you be showered with gifts and may all your wildest dreams will come true!

Check the dates, the op was a long time ago when the Valkyrie Kid was the first diamond, now ERicj is the 5th. :)

B3NDER 09-16-2011 12:43 AM

Oops, I just saw that a few people have posted in the last day or so, I didn't look at the original post date.

Congrats to all 5 of you!

Chain Wrangler 09-16-2011 10:37 AM

Way to go Eric...congrats!!

Olorin 09-16-2011 11:34 AM

Awesome ERic! It couldn't happen to a better guy. I've been watching your profile too for a looong time and I know I join you when I say "it's about time!" Well deserved!! :hfive:

mashnut 09-16-2011 01:07 PM

It has been a while, those unique voters definitely seem to be the holdup.

Brall 09-16-2011 01:20 PM

too bad there isn't an achievement for how many reviews you've voted on

i think i might be the biggest participant for the amount of votes for all of you diamond levels :)

Congo~Rats Eric!

Jukeshoe 09-16-2011 01:20 PM

Gotta travel in different regions, I think, to even have a chance.

I think that's a brilliant part of the equation, though, because it makes it more likely that the Diamond reviewers have seen courses in many different styles and terrain types.

I too agree with this part even if I am yet to get there. It is all about playing in different regions which I am currently working on. Looking forward to playing on the east coast a little this summer. GA, SC and maybe Alabama. As far a westcoast, I seem to have that region down.

And now Olorin has joined the diamond club, definitely someone who deserves it!

solomon.trenton 09-18-2011 04:05 PM

solomon.trenton 09-18-2011 04:06 PM

It probably helps that he's been an active reviewer for a long time and got votes from other early members as well as more recent ones.
