MD4 vs. Mako3

Is the MD4 a good slightly overstable compliment to the Mako3 (MD4 has a thin looking rim like the Mako3). I love my Mako3 but it would be nice to have something that can reliably stand up straight but never flip over when thrown hard.

I can't comment on the Mako3, but the MD4 and the Method are both right up your alley in terms of what you're looking for.

A pro buddy I play with a good bit runs the MD4/Mako3 combo for his midranges. Works really well for him.

Kinda think a MD4 flipping up would need to be a really beat in one or a cannon of an arm. But thrown flat and hard it will stay that way before gradual penetrating fade.

I pair mine with CE MD3. That will have negligible fade vs the MD4. Both work well on anhyzer lines too, backhand and forehand.

watch Simonīs latest Vlog, he only throws the Glow MD4. . good video to see the flight of the MD4

And the feel is quite close to the Mako

Yeah, the MD4 in not really what OP is describing in my mind. The color glow MD3s are what I use for flip to flat mids. I use a Gator for overstable, but for stand up shots and straight to reliable fade, it's been MD3s for years.

An MD3 is probably more of what you are looking for. Mako3 is the flippiest mid in my bag and MD4 is the most OS mid in my bag.

Yeah, I was bagging a Mako 3 for a long time just because I loved the Central Coast stamp. But there's too much overlap with my Prodigy M4s and so I just stuck with the M4. MD3s, M4s, and a Gator covers the whole spectrum.
