Don't use an FD2 for that but do use a Banshee, I am sure both work well for it. I do see the writing on the wall though and will likely get an FD2 soon before my Banshee's get worn or lost.

Would buy one (or four) today if they came in S or P-Line.

I throw my FD2 for approaches more often then not. I know Erno (team/sales manager for DM) also hails this disc great for approaches and powering down. Very underrated, but nice for us right now as I can track down the runs I like easier :)

Ok guys, I've been on vacation for a little bit so I let this go a lot longer than I should have!

At that point we were too late for the Worlds disc and we had just got done with the European Open. We put all of our effort into that one :)

I am guessing whatever it is being produced for, it is already created! Here's hoping it comes sooner than later! :) It will replace my star firebirds (I will still keep my sexton in the bag) for forehand flex shots. This is the release my bag has been waiting for! (well this and s-line FD2's haha)

Speaking of the mighty Nate Sexton, what do you think of his signature C-LINE DD?

The S Line is by far my favorite plastic and it's kept me from ordering some of these molds because I can't grip C Line that well.

I would recommend you consider giving our new C-LINE a shot. We usually give it a little more grip than other discs of that clarity.

Dare I dream it? Swirl PDs?

Thank you very much, we really appreciate the kind words. We released the Swirl PD, there's also something else we're adding to the Swirl S-LINE line up coming sometime soonish (hopefully by the end of September).

Yes, however some of them are harder to see because the plastic is slightly opaque. This is true for DDs and DD2s as well.

I had a miscommunication about my order yesterday (and it was more my fault than theirs), and they generously made up for it. Super cool folks over there, and they are largely the reason that I throw mostly Discmania.

People occasionally complain about their prices, which are slightly higher than average, but for the service you get plus the in depth description and listing of each run it is well worth it. They will even pick out discs by hand for you if you call them up!

Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for the kind words :)

The newest D-LINE or C-LINE P3s are flatter. For our testers we have found them to be very torque resistant and fade a decent amount, this is especially true if you get some air under them. At lower flights it seemed to be more of a laser beam.

It is a putter, so at times too much torque might create the flip.

The red discs have a real nice tacky/grippy feel and are a bit softer. The white discs are noticeably slicker and firmer. I've been using the white discs for a few weeks as main putters and have experienced more chain outs than with any other putter.

I guess a follow-up question would be: is the shield stamp run any different in feel or firmness? I may just try the X-line, but haven't historically liked the feel of concave putters.

The current run is a little more firm than the first runs we released in the winter.

FD's are definitely the mold that made me not hate domey discs.

First runs have a bit more dome. We have a few lying around, maybe we need to stamp them up with something sweet and release them for you guys.

The G-LINE DD2 has been one of our furthest flying discs. We believe everyone should give them a shot. They go really really far if you can get the disc up to speed.

for me the champion tern (in max weight) has that easy shapable flight (hyzers/sweeping hyzers/hyzerflip to straight/hyzerflip to turnover/S curve) and the G-DD2 (max weight) is similar for me but is more stable/straight and can be even longer (I can get my G-DD2's about 20feet further). I can throw 350-380ft consistently with both on hyzer.

I specifically use the G-DD2 in very tight wooded holes where I want to gamble and go for the pin (longer ones in the 370+ft range where if I hit a tree it won't veer off as far as my champion tern would.

I also have the new simple shield stamp S-DD2 (star plastic) and those S-DD2's are beefy destroyer overstable beefcakes. Like almost champion PD2 level beef! It took months of heavy wooded play (I even lent one out regularly to the big armed open players for them to beat in) and it finally beat in to a old school beefy/glidey/faster star wraith. I almost gave up on the new Shield stamped S-DD2's because they were so **** OS but glad I didn't.

Good review :) Those wicked hard DD2s are getting harder to find. We have some collectors looking for them the same way they used to look for the harder feeling S/DS destroyers. (not to make a comparison to one of the most coveted discs out there, but they are there those looking pretty hard for them.)

Our newest run of the S-LINE P2 have more tackyness to the plastic and they are really flat with a good firmness. Give the store a call and we can try to get you one.

Something that feels like a second run but with a lower plh. Leopard3 sounds like what I'm looking for, would love the "3" treatment of the fd...

We actually did give this a shot and it did not fly the best. So, besides feel it didn't make the grade.

D-line wouldn't be my first plastic choice for the next release of the FD2, but if they have a little more glide and season nicely, they could certainly be an intriguing option.

Probably and error.

Putters - Done
Mids - S Line MD (for Mako3s), S Line MD3 (For Roc3s) (don't know if my gator is REALLY needed, but has been helpful, could go S P3 please)
Fairways - Done except S Line FD2 (For Teebird)
Drivers - Could be done, except an S CD2 (For Thunderbird)

There you have it. I'm almost yours DiscMania

We'll have to work on filling up that lineup :) Our 2nd run of the CD2 we made a bit soft (like the prototypes) and they're now the official laser beam disc of my personal bag.

Thanks for the feedback! We love it when we get to communicate with our fans!

I am loving the way my s-line FD3 is breaking in for forehand flex shots. Soon I will kick my star firebirds from that slot as I prefer how the FD3 responds to that shot.

Finally my r-pro cro, the cro to me is like the dart is to Sexton. That one disc may live in the bag until I ace it or lose it. I have no plans to replace it once it's gone.

My bag just needs that OS mid, an S-FD2 and I will be set with a perfect lineup! However, I do wonder what a metal flake 5th run FD, FD2 or flat MD3 would be like. I would love to see those come to fruition down the line to compare to my existing non MF versions.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll keep it in mind for sure.

I love the Swirly S-line FD3! It is a forehanders dream disc and offers tons of control and fade all boxes into a great mold. Out of box I could throw it flat/straight and get a nice fade that didnt crash or skip aggressively. Now that I have one seasoning in I am finding the flex shot control to be outstanding. I mentioned this in a previous post, but it will be removing my season star firebirds. Very much different discs in their own right, but for flex shots and my use of both mold, the FD3 has been superior.

I ordered two and have bagged the bubble rim dayglo since it arrived. I love how HSS it is and the distance control I can get with it. It has been pairing perfectly with my s-line DD's which I was use for max Distance flex and flip shots. This one I can hang out left (LHBH or RHFH) and let the disc to the work and crash right. Or can keep flat and straight and fight the wind. Glad to see him get this disc! I need to get two more dayglos :)

Swirly FD3 kicked out my sexton glows. I throw FD2 alot but when I need more fade or more distance, I will take this one out. Amazing disc, I could throw it way more. Great forehand as wel. Swirly FD2's sound like my dream disc.

DM picked me out a sweeeeeeet swirly S line PD2 that I've been crushing. I throw P2, MD3, FD, FD2, and PD2 a lot :P i wish I could throw my FD3, PD, and DD's more

You did :) All is well :D I'm reppin' DM all over the place, and got to hang out with Eric Oakley as he came through MN twice, played visionquest with him, rode the RV there! Y'all picked a good dude to tour and spread the brand.

Road tripped Des Moines Open as well! I'm full hype mode with discmania.

Most definitely. The FD2 is THE OS mid in my bag. Powered up, it will fly straight with a reliable fade, but powered down I can make it work on those OS mid-range lines.

This might open a new aspect of my game. A few years ago I embraced the "disc up" option, as I'm not a total power player, (use fan grip almost exclusively and pride myself on wooded courses hitting lines)

if something is on the top end of a mid range, I'll go up to the fairway driver to hit it at controlled power. I'm also a midrange lover also because of the control factor, usually because of the "fade control"

Never really considered bringing out the stable drivers for 150-225 OS lines, now I have another reason to play Acorn again :)

When can we expect 7th run CPDs to show up in the store (I know that the Avery stamped max weight ones are up)? My 167 Zam Stamped CPD is my favorite C-Line run so far.

Can confirm. Aced Acorn hole 11 200ft blind dogleg right with FD2 last tuesday league :)

Only played the old layout twice and would have never considered playing there but the new layout with the new rose baskets is actually really nice, and would be down to play rounds there, depending on player traffic. Really nice upgrade.
