Anyone know if a first run Night Strike flies similar to a TL3? What other discs fly similarly? Not really looking to drop 50+ on a disc. I've been wanting to try one though for sure.

Have you tried a most recent C-FD. They are nice and stable out of the box. And $15

The first run NS's are supposedly on the understable-stable side. I have a NS2 and it's similar to what you're describing.

The S-line runs from last year were similar to NS1. They have a good dome.

Newer S-Line are more like NS2 (good FDs) and are flatter than the typical FD

Current C-Line seem pretty neutral, especially lighter ones. They have more dome too, lots of glide.

TL3 are pretty stable imo. Leopard or Leopard3 would be a good option as an NS1 replacement

Stable 04-02-2020 05:10 PM

Why do the RT's have to be made in dull muddy colors? Why do disc manufactures even stock muddy ink/dyes? I don't understand the marketing strategy here? How about bright Easter Egg colors swirled for ultra brightness?

So youíll lose it and have to buy another. Duh.

mrcheviot 04-02-2020 08:54 PM

Is the specific blend of cline used in the latest run of FD2s being used for any other molds?

Is there a timeline for the Iron Samurai II? I need to keep some funds aside for when they come out and don't want to miss them

B.Fairbanks.1023 04-22-2020 03:15 PM

Will we be getting any other plastic for the Method? I'd love to have one in an Exo Hard to compliment the Neo

Flick Maniac 04-23-2020 01:28 PM

I am 99,9% certain Exo Methods will drop sometime this season.

ttstreamer 04-29-2020 07:02 AM

Any hopes for P-line P3x?

B The V 05-01-2020 12:52 PM

This is a bit late, but why hasn't the Gremlin stamp been used for October Ghouls? It makes perfect sense.

dmbrun2 05-02-2020 10:02 PM

Did yíall run an April fools disc this year, with a different stamp?

B The V 05-04-2020 11:55 AM

Actually I meant April Fools. The gremlin stamp should come back for that

Still waiting for the Iron Samurai 2.

I didnít realize how much I was going to like the Iron Samurai and by the time I picked one up I couldnít find a second one for a backup.

I actually kind of hope the 2 might be an MD4 in color glow metal flake.

I havenít even started throwing mine yet. I have a lot of CG claw Eagle md3

The C line TD is slept on. Great driver for intermediate player

Edwards806 05-10-2020 05:43 PM

When do you plan on releasing the Enigma in multiple plastics! It is hands down the best distance driver I’ve thrown. Can we get it in s-line or even color glow!?

Enigma is produced by Latitude. So we'll probably see it in Lux next, but nothing produced by Innova

With Simon putting with P1s again, will we see a new run of these?

I'd be interested in that. I like the P1 for long runs outside circle 2 but there's none available!

Yeah, I've never been a fan of beaded putters, but I've had a Swirly P1x in and out of the bag for a while for those and turnover approaches. I found an older S-line P1 in my stash and it's just more comfortable in my hand without the bead. More comfortable than an Aviar P&A too...never been a fan of those.

I think Aviar and P1 are the exact same mold

Same bottom as the PnA. The top is different.

Thereís a bunch of other Aviars out there too.

Yep they are

ArtemisClydFr0g 05-12-2020 05:29 PM

Top is different like broomerang said.

krooster 05-13-2020 11:59 AM

Currently am putting with P1's and getting nervous they won't be available if I need more. Really tempted to switch to the classic aviar because of this but I like P1's better so I am going to stick with them and hope they are more available in the future since they seem to be getting more attention...

ArtemisClydFr0g 05-13-2020 12:51 PM

Actually I think they are the same mold after further research. The Star P1s have *AV on the bottom. They definitely mold up differently between McPro Aviars and Star Aviars/P1s, which is why I thought the top was different.

I could be wrong, I don't have any official info, just the same experience you have. The top looks and feels different to me. It could very well be a molding variation.

HyliaN 05-13-2020 10:19 PM

Anyone else hyped for the Essence? I'm hoping it's like a first run Nightstrike because I don't feel like dropping that much for a disc lol.

Heck yeah, have a ton to move, gonna be a busy day! They should have more turn than a NS1

ArtemisClydFr0g 05-14-2020 11:19 AM

Wow. Sky Gods sold out faster than any other disc I've tried to get on release day. Had a pair in my cart and lost them before I could check out (which only took me about 10 seconds).

perklc 05-14-2020 12:10 PM

Was glad to see a good number of Essences in the 160 class on Infinite. Was able to pick up a couple after losing the first couple that I initially had in the cart.

Yeah even OTB are sold out.

Iíll see if I can snag one at a local retailer but I doubt it.

Hopefully there will be a restock

Sabattus Disc Golf still seems to have a handful

jtowneagle 05-14-2020 02:04 PM

I was able to throw the Essence a few days ago from a Discmania sponsored player. It is a longer, slightly more understable FD. I was very impressed and ordered two.

ray1970 05-15-2020 12:47 AM

Threw the Essence today. A pink 169. I wasnít overly impressed and I actually thought it flew more overstable than my S-line FDís. Didnít throw it much though so it could have just been me but the FD will just flip up and cruise dead straight and the Essence wouldnít flip up for me and just held the hyzer.

P1's are the "classic grid" Aviars and the top is different from the PnA. If p1's become popular and more produced I would switch back to them since the d-line plastic just has a better feel than dx in my opinion.

P1 feels slightly deeper in my hand than a classic aviar.

I also feel like the flight is different, at least for putting. Classic aviar seems to me to be a little less neutral in flight, I feel like I have to put a little more on it to get it to hold a straight line from further out.

They are very close but I can notice enough of a difference that I prefer the P1.
