Hope this is the right place to ask this...

How come Discmania's poster boy, Simon Lizotte, doesn't throw the PD? Not only is it the best thing DM has, surely Simon has the arm speed for it. I understand he is a minimalist, he has like 15 discs in his tour bag whereas most pros have closer to 25, but there's plenty of room between the speed 7 Jackal and the speed 12 meat hook known as Chaos.

This isn't a criticism, Simon obviously knows what he's doing. Just curious.

Simon does throw the PD. He has a First Run C-LINE PD for straight shots with a fade at the end and a orange early run patent number S-LINE PD that finishes straight for him.

He's got a firebird for that "control driver" slot, Simon's throwing style seems to be if you can get around with a hyzer bomb then a hyzer bomb is what he'll throw and his overstable discs are good for that. Plus it seems like all his straight shots are mids or putters and anhyzers are with his über beat PD2

That's true! the kid is amazing!

You're right that he likes high lines, but he doesn't have "uber beat" discs. He takes new PD2's and puts them on anny just with power. He's a freak in that sense. He throws crazy overstable discs as if they were control drivers. That's what impresses me about him, his hit is crazy powerful.

I don't know why he doesn't throw PD's, but he favors FD2's and Firebirds instead.

That's true. Simon has game!

Thanks for the correction. I was just thinking of his in the bag when he talked about his flat PD2 so I assumed it was one he'd just had for a long time. He's definitely a unique player and that's why he's so fun to watch

The flat PD2's are First Run PD2s.

Heh, it's actually funny he never has beat discs because he keeps losing them. He's so aggressive all the time and there's no shot he's afraid of, and no disc he's afraid to lose.

It definitely makes for come comedic moments on the course!

This is true. It's pretty funny.

When can we expect more molds coming in G-line ? Like DD , PD2 etc. ?

We have made plans to expand the G-LINE line. We will let you guys know when they are available :)

Really love the G-line PD. Would LOVE to see some in 150 class. (Innova is making a bunch of 150 class gstars, including Bosses, so I know it's an option.)

We will keep this in mind for future production.

I just bought a C line FD and was wondering if it was a 2nd or 3rd run. It is flat and has a stiff feel to it with lots of pearl. Super excited to throw it!

That is a 2nd run.

Should I expect more stability? Heard 2nd runs were more like teebirds?

They are more overstable, but if you can power them up they fly perfectly straight lines.

mtak127 09-23-2014 11:52 PM

Ok...so....whats the new release.....?

FINNtastic 09-24-2014 01:34 AM

It's gotta be CD2.

heartman 09-24-2014 01:41 AM

new disc = Discmania's equivalent of the Thunderbird?

Flick Maniac 09-24-2014 03:58 AM

I am thinking like a C-PD but with more glide and less fade, perhaps a smidge more turn. A hybrid between C-FD and C-PD. Straight, predictable, controllable. i.e. Musthave. [9|5|-1|1]?

I don't know -- TD is too close to that to have that not be redundant.

8 5 -3 1?

steinkecm 09-24-2014 09:14 AM

Maybe just 7 5 -3 1. Actually an understable fairway.

The PDGA approved discs list from 9-17-14 doesn't have anything new from Discmania on it, so either this isn't approved yet, or it's a C Line version of something that's not already here.

However, that doesn't mean it's not a current mold of Innova (or a past one....), because the Gremlin is still listed under Innova. So it may be something that's already out there and is getting a rebrand or a rebirth.

Rol6566 09-24-2014 09:23 AM

I bet it's already pdga approved but they havent announced it yet. Waiting for discmania to announce it first

Maybe sidewinderish?

hurricaine 09-24-2014 12:32 PM

all this teasing they are doing is actually getting annoying. at least give us a little info if youre gonna post multiple times about upcoming releases
