Is there a consensus on the most overstable P2's between S-Line, G-Line, C-Line, and Color Glow? And to make it more interesting...the new swirl McBeth P2s? I might assume they are all so close, but curious to know if there is in fact a difference.

Flick Maniac 05-13-2015 02:40 AM

Color glow and C line seem identical to me. G-P2 a hair less but also similar. I would call all of them stable, in that they have loads of HSS but not too much LSS, only reliable medium/light fade.

Truly OS putters are a whole other thing. And I am not ragging on P2s, love them and they are versatile discs, moreso than utility OS putters, which are just in another league.

Flick Maniac 05-13-2015 04:28 AM

Any chance for bottom stamped DM discs?

That answers it. And yeah, I know what you mean. I meant OS relative to P2s of different plastics. I'm looking for a P2 that keeps its fade for a long time. I find them OS enough.

mtak127 05-13-2015 02:11 PM

Any idea when the d-line P2 restock will come?

and max weight red Echo line DD2 was a bomber. Definitely what I was looking for after a few throws I think.

What's the difference of Echo and normal S line?

The current run of S-line are REALLY overstable for some reason.

Echo is the sweet spot IMO. I think they fly like a DD2 should.

S-Line > G/C/Glow

1st Run S-Line (flat yellow or orange w/mcbeth stamp) > Swirly

vogurt 05-13-2015 04:24 PM

Ok thanks! And I actually meant to ask my question quite literally, waht is echo star? haha

vogurt 05-13-2015 04:55 PM

ahh, it is recycled star plastic.

vogurt 05-13-2015 10:16 PM

I just got my 2 5th run fD's :O they feel perfect in the hand I need to throw them! max weight

Flick Maniac 05-16-2015 04:44 AM

Wait, you mean to say S-P2 is more OS than C? Or am I misunderstanding your equation?

fasteddie 05-16-2015 07:52 PM

D-line FD was integral to a win today, shot 12 down for first place in am1...

I need MOAR d-line fd's now :)

controllable flippy flight, I threw it light on a hyzer angle and it would flip up and turn the rest of the way.

seriously cool disc in comparison to the other plastics, buy a D-line for your fliptastic fairway!!

I hope I read that right. I took it as "greater than".

My flat, yellow McBeth S Line came today. It has a noticeably higher PLH than my "KP2" P Lines, which are already very stable (HSS) to overstable (LSS).

In my experience yes. Not by much though.

FightingTheTide 05-18-2015 06:14 PM

Thanks for the suggestion with the yellow S P2! Excellent disc. It's exactly what I needed next to my P and D P2s. I've got all putter shots covered with one mold.

FightingTheTide 05-18-2015 06:15 PM

Any idea when there might be more flat JL C MD3s ranging from 176-180 in the store?

Oh, okay. The DM store lists C-line as the most overstable of P2s though. I have no S-line experience myself.

Great job Jamie :) This is probably the only thing I would disagree on. I wonder if you're comparing the Color Glow C-LINE compared to the S-LINE?

There's no plan right now. But never say never :)

After this G-Star VRoc3 release we will get more up.

Kodachrome 05-21-2015 03:56 PM

is the ppd2 particularly challenging to get to mold up like the cpd2? I ask because a while ago I threw ppd2 and they had a nice even dome with a plh just as high as any cpd2 I'd thrown. Now I see a lot of ppd2 with pop tops or have a weird sunken center and they are more like pro destroyers. I'm talking about basically pro katana stability. Not meaning it as a shot or commentary, but I really love the p plastic and I think the beefy ppd2 in that plastic are the best. Are there any particular challenges with that mold and plastic combo? I don't see this with cpd2 or spd2.

And thanks for answering all the questions. :)

Thanks for bringing back the Champion PD2

No just watching Simon throw them it seemed like the C-line had a little bit less of a finish when thrown with power. It would easily come out of a turn and finish flat, but the S-lines seemed to still finish slightly left when thrown the same way.

It's probably splitting hairs unless you have Simon power though.

Threw a Blizzard DD2 today, and sweet baby Jesus this disc bombs. Gotta dial in the release angle for a bit more consistency, but this thing is easy noodle arm distance. Tons of fun to throw.

rallyguy 05-23-2015 09:49 PM

You were throwing it pretty well, I think mine will kick the terns out for a bit :D

rallyguy 05-26-2015 06:28 PM

Sitting at Kit Carson park waiting for the flying circus to start, I have a feeling it'll be an expensive afternoon once they get all the merchandise out :D

What weight and how much dome?

Jenga54 05-27-2015 09:58 PM

I need more P Line P1x in blue or purple or pink!! Will there be a production run of P P1x in the near future??
D Line were awesome in the spring but in 80 degree weather I need a more P Lines!!

DinosaurThunder 05-28-2015 08:52 AM

Any chance for another run of flat glow MD3's? Perhaps even flat MF MD3's? The prices for EO Wolverine stamped ones are getting out of hand lately haha :)

Also, those x-out team stamps leaving the factory have been fun to see! Heres hoping a glow MD3 happens to get that treatment ;) I would be quick to snag that up!

Final thought- As someone who has only thrown first run FD's, I have been thoroughly impressed by the fifth runs. They fly like a slightly seasoned first run and have been a great replacement so I dont lose any more first runs. Great work!

Flick Maniac 05-28-2015 11:09 AM

how much is being paid for EO MD3s?

runningDoc 05-28-2015 12:07 PM

when will the restock of the Mini Shield Stamp DX P2's happen?

I'm LOVING mine, and want more in different colors/stamps.

The recent release of Colored Glow Champ PD2's are so awesome. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up on the fd's I was getting ready to make an order in the next couple of days and was wondering what run I wanted

vogurt 05-28-2015 04:12 PM

Man, Had a P-PD2 that I was flipping over

but I've been throwing a 169G P DD and that is just as stable as my S line is currently and it just bombs!! Might have to pick up a stack and hopefully start to see some turn in my fresh P DD that I just started using, it is very HSS fresh!

They are fast becoming my favorite PD2 since I throw about 25% slower than Simon lol.

JTacoma03 05-29-2015 02:22 AM

Oh...PS Discmaniacs...5th Run C-Line FD's are insane.

PPS follow up to my review a few pages back of the MD. I got to throw the first (non-proto) runs that are slightly less domey and slightly softer and I think they are WINNERS. Orange are my favorite so far followed by Pink. They're a little easier to get to turn than the stiff protos, but they still are really hard to get to turn-and-burn. They really love getting back to flat. I think my new midrange setup is going to be Glow MD3/P-MD3/C-MD. If you're still tentative or figuring out our mid lineup I'd encourage you to try that trio and post your feedback!

SpikeHyzer 05-29-2015 07:13 AM

I'm still auditioning the Proto C-MD. I have a stash of nicely broken in stiff P-MD2's that fill the understable slot nicely. But I would agree with the rest of your assessment. I carry 2 Glow C-MD3's, 1 domey and 1 flat, 1 Proto P-MD3, 1 P-MD2 and I keep the C-MD in the side pocket for secondary shots during rounds. It still a bit too straight to replace my understable MD2's, but not enough stability to be thrown over my P-MD3. It kind of fits right in between them right now.

I'd love to see some flat firm JL C-MD's(same plastic as the recent run of FD's, but table top flat). These could be a fantastic disc IMO.

Ender175 05-29-2015 08:16 AM

Any chance of g-line or xt (X-line?) p3 or md3 in the near future?

I really like the way discmania approaches stable mids and putters by just raising the plh without resorting to beads or concave bottom wings, but both molds seem to only be available in c-line and I'm trying to transition my entire bag other than my putting putters to flexible plastics.

Are they less beefy then JL C? S line?

Eco81 05-29-2015 04:50 PM

Does discmania make white G-PDs?
