I guess I should have waited longer to post, that wasn't nearly long winded enough for me. Haha.

Got an invite to play a new private course today, mostly Dan Walker baskets.. Three or four plastic sewer pipe tonals haha quite the contradiction. His baskets are looking better than ever and catch pretty nice. Good local Vancouver Island old fella who's been supporting the sport forever.

Nice course, shortish lots of 250-350 shots I think a few further with elevation changes.. Nice to play something different, in uncertain times it's nice to just pull out something like the Relay just throw for simple gaps, the Comet came out a bit too. I didn't try it for tunnels since the Relay was nailing them.

I'm thinking about trying a Relay bag 155,165 and 174g and give that a whirl... right now in the driver dept..
155 relay, 155 Crave,
155 Plasma Wave, 163 fission Tesla..

I think maybe I will keep a slot for my beat 165 Relay and the 155 Neutron Wave or maybe an Inertia, the Plasma Wave is less stable than the Crave and there's a bit of a gap between it and the Tesla.. As my FH develops I'm noticing more things I want from a disc... or more discs to be accurate.

So I keep trying out my 152 plasma crave waiting for it to beat into buttery straight goodness but it's not happening on the shelf.. It feels goofy and oddly stable next to my 160N and Halloween se eclipse 165's. It's like it skates with a touch of HSS.. How does a Crave do for overhand? I might let my gyro crazy buddy give it a go.. Maybe he can soften it up, he'll probajust want it.

How much power do you have with overhands? The Crave feels good in a thumber grip, but it doesnt have enough pan for my power to go around obstacles and not OS enough for distance.
I find myself thumbing the Relay or Banzai more; the Crave isn't bad, its just stuck between 2 better options in my bag. YMMV.

I only tomahawk with the Rask.

Rask seems an old choice for overhand shots considering that weird lip it has underneath...

It’s weird but as long as you don’t have massive fingers it does well. The rim shape otherwise is perfect.

That's my problem, lol. The one time I held one, I couldn't get my meathook fingers to sit in there in a BH grip...

For a tomahawk grip, I can use the second "wing" as a brace for my index finger. It is actually more comfortable than a standard disc for my fingers.

Almost 6 years in the bag and it still has almost 0 pan with my amount of overhand power... man the Rask is awesome.

I do not have enough arm speed to backhand my Rask.

Plague doctors are in, they look great I think I will shelve the 170 white with a pink pearl.. I'm leaning towards throwing the 165 Orange but also considering throwing the 169 Green.. Most of my plasmas are 167 with some 165's.. Any opinions?

**** I got stung customs too @@*#**... another $23 CAD *******s oh well.. I really wanted one haha. I don't want to do the math.. But yeah $53 ish CAD per disc.. Or $40 USD.

+ my bag snuck in.. Relay x 3, Spin, soft e envy and plasma 165 Envy.. I was thinking about working a 170 soft electron into the bag... but maybe one of the soft Neutron will fit...

Considering what's going on in the world atm, is Marmoset a prophet?

Hey Marm, how long ago did the idea for the plague theme come about?

Marmoset 02-29-2020 06:59 AM

It’s a long, multi-faceted story. I’ll explain it all in an interview that I’m recording tomorrow.
