You can't please everyone. I was a hater initially and changed due to his work either. Be yourself. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he is a harsh critic of his own game, but I'm also sure that is true of Paul McBeth. But self-deprecating, in terms of its connotation? Not so much. Brodie is as arrogant as the sky is blue (hey, now we can argue about whether the sky is actually blue ;) ) |

Gotta say their app and site leave a lot to be desired if the night before I can’t even find any info about when the airing is going to be. But then again, maybe I’m just blind and not seeing it. |

Just a heads up, if you're a pdga member and you cancelled your subscription you can't pay per event @ half off. The discount was only good one time.

Diggin' that 1:00 card.

Put him in a video with someone who isn’t as good as he is, and he starts trash talking real fast. |

993 -2 today. Had a pretty good round going till the last 4 holes. Made a 60ft scoober on 13 for a bird, lol.
|
Here's a link to his FB page and a vid of the scoober…

I'll be curious to see if he's right and he shoots way better today |
If he improves the accuracy of his drives, he could easily shave a few strokes.

I don't think he'd agree after the tournament that his first 12 holes were in that "as poorly as he could have" category. But that finish is gonna leave a bitter taste in the mouth, and right after the round the whole thing is gonna feel pretty annoying. |

Haven't looked at udisc yet to get an idea of what he was doing, was busy all day. But did see that he shot even today |
Here's a vid of the 2nd rd b9 from that even in VA he played last week. A local kid with a YT channel filmed it after playing his round which is why its only the back 9...
|
Ultimately I'm rooting for brodie to succeed but only if he humbles himself a bit... but projecting ultimate supreme confidence seems to be part of his game plan so maybe I'm asking for too much

At least he is making it clear he's not out of place in MPO. It remains to be seen if he'll be competitive at the top level, but it's still a distinct possibility.

What's the cash line for DGLO?
Looks like Brodie is gonna come up a bit short of it, but great effort today. Clean finish and he should be in the 1000s for this one. Overall, absent a fire finish, a near 1000 level 3-round event. |
I think the cash line was in the 50s...after the first round Brodie was just inside of it when the post-round interviewer asked him how he thought he did and Brodie answered cashing is always good but he would like to do better (paraphrasing).
54 or 56 sticks out, but if he is in the 60s at the end like udsic shows now, yes he missed it. |
I think DGPT does 40% of the field?

DGPT typically does 40%. 58 players for DGLO

Rooting for Zak Fortuna, on Brodie's card, to grab 1 more deuce here...
|
And does. Nice. Brodie with the nice recovery for a birdie of his own to close out the event.

Brodie finished ahead of Barsby and Arlinghaus

The Great Philly Dilly has averaged about 1015 over his 3 events/8 rounds this month including DGLO. |

Nothing strange about the two individuals he beat. Arlinghaus is a very solid player, and Barsby is a world champ. Jeremy Koling only beat Brodie by 1 stroke. |
This was Barsby's worst tournament (by rating) since 2016 Worlds, 4 years ago. So, sure, when you're a good player and you throw a historically bad tournament, then other players will beat you.
Comparing individuals to each other in golf is kind of weird. Sometimes you beat other people, sometimes they beat themselves. In every single tournament you can find a player or two who are playing abnormally poorly. If you base your skill based on who you beat when they're having a bad day, then you're gonna have a very skewed perception of your abilities. |

Brodie beat Arlinghaus, and Barsby, and placed one stroke behind Koling. That's pretty good for a guy new to disc golf and tournament play, IMO. FWIW, Toboggan is a tough course. |
