There are some available on the Hero website. I will keep this in mind the future.

I will most definitely get back to you on this. I do not have all of the information just yet :)

Jozzz 04-03-2014 05:17 PM

Have to disagree a bit on the Euro glow PDs being more overstable than the CFR PDs. While my sample size of 14 glows isn't a lot, they all have lower parting lines than the 20 or so CFRs I own.

Anyone who throws or is curious about DM will check this thread every time they are on site, most daily (or hourly :D).

I will be here as much as I can. Thank you very much for the input! I am here to answer your questions!

I'm curious if they will be able to answer that volume with the current once a week replies, I suppose there will be quite the delay in response as the thread grows.

I'm sorry that happened to you! I will try to stay on top of this forum as much as I can!

I cannot say for sure without seeing the disc. but if you hold a non-plus mold rim and a plus mold you will be able to tell the difference.

I am not here to argue which is better :) All PD's are great discs!

Jozzz 04-03-2014 05:30 PM

Not arguing, no sir, just merely stating my findings. I love all PDs! Can't wait for the store to open up. I keep hitting refresh on the discmania website...any timeframe for when I can expect to throw my money at you?

Timko 04-03-2014 05:39 PM

Where will Jolly Launcher PDs be available? I will be picking up some of those.

onemilemore 04-03-2014 05:51 PM

Did I miss it, or is there a firm date for the store opening yet?

rallyguy 04-03-2014 06:58 PM

Will you have D line FD's in stock?

fasteddie 04-04-2014 02:14 PM

three out of the five European open 2013 predators of the north series we're released to u.s vendors. The sable (a p2 I believe?) and the lynx (atlas) were not. Are there plans to release those series stamps in the new DM store?

rarintal 04-04-2014 11:18 PM

Ok, Just because the store is opening soon, I will answer some questions about it.. I'll break the rule of the thread just this once!

The Jolly Launcher PD's will be at the store. the Avery Jenkins C-LINE PD's are Jolly Launcher.

There is not an announced date, but know this it is soon!

Unfortunately no. they will not be in the Discmania Store.

I believe someone asked if there were going to be D-LINE FD'S. That answer is yes!

Any more disc questions out there? FD2 questions maybe?

rallyguy 04-04-2014 11:21 PM

You will take a lot of my money with the D line FD's :D

How will the FD2 compare to the flatter 2nd run FD's, if you can compare their flights? And will they be available in a wide weight range?

Thanks!

talltee32 04-05-2014 06:03 AM

Are the bags going to be sold on the Discmania site? Or the grip site?

fasteddie 04-05-2014 10:54 AM

I too am curious of the relationship between the new FD2 and the second run (flat, firm, and overstable) C-line FD. Was the FD2 design trying replicate the second run fds or did they serve more as an inspiration?

So the two unreleased EURO open molds ( that are on the innovastore.net ) will still remain unavailable to the non EURO customer base? ..I really dislike having 3/5 of a collection...

andrewv 04-05-2014 11:43 AM

150 class P-PDs are getting very hard if not impossible to find. I need more of them!

cjman 04-05-2014 06:59 PM

The picture Avery keeps on posting on Facebook of a CPD is a patent number CFR. He says, these will be in the discmania store.

I assume that is not correct? The Jolly Launcher ones will be from recent runs and not the early patent number run, right?

Kodachrome 04-05-2014 07:05 PM

i bet they found more or something. they have nothing to gain by posting an incorrect photo . . . and i snagged a couple from a retailer a couple weeks ago so they're still out there.

If you look at http://www.innovastore.net/product/1...tor-series-set you will see that there is no Sable. For unknown reasons, that disc never happened. Dont know if the stamp was ever drawn up either, but if it was, hopefully they slap that on some future disc.

So we also only have a 4/4 collection across the pond. I ended up getting the Bear (overstable PD - nice for night rounds but in daylight I will throw S-line and P-line all day, massive overstability is not PDs main attraction for me) and Wolverine (the glow MD3 is an excellent disc in itself, very accurate both back- and forehand) and got the Wolf stamp on a P-P2 (the C-TD2 would not have a spot in my bag). The Lynx I never got since the stamp really rubs me the wrong way, the only one of the bunch that I dislike.

Anyway, sorry for hijacking the thread. Lookind FwD to the FD2! And that mystery disc that wasnt a FD2 that Jussi had a photo of on Instagram.... :p mmm tasty

DinosaurThunder 04-07-2014 02:02 PM

Was a proto P2 ever produced? If so, what were the plastic qualities and how does it differ from the current runs?

Daisuke 04-07-2014 02:43 PM

Yes. Have two of them. Plastic is like a KCpro stiffness, and more tacky than the production run of P-P2.

Awesome! Need to try and find one. Do you have a picture I can see?

Flick Maniac 04-08-2014 04:24 AM

the lovely guys over at Discmania sent me a extra disc in an order I placed at the time P-P2s were coming out, it had a post-it,"tester" on it. A misprint one to boot. Later I also got a ghost huklab P-P2 for free, gotta love them dudes.

I did not notice too much difference to the production runs. FR, tester feel the same to me. The standar stamp maybe a touch slicker but that could be just imagination. A beat FR P-P2 is my weapon of choice in most putts.

Rikster 04-08-2014 02:06 PM

Few questions:

- Will the FD2 come to European markets at the same time as in US? And when we are talking about the release date are we talking of days, weeks or months?
- Same thing for G-line selection, how long do we have to wait? (I know this thread is for the existing products but afaik G-FD does already exist…)
- Any chance of getting those really flat C-MD2’s on production again? I’ve heard that the original flat ones are gold (I only have 2013 flat run) but I don’t really like to hunt any rare discs. I can manage with the current one but there’s a part of me that hopes to see those praised flat MD2’s back on the shelves.
- I’d also like to see them R-Pro-like P-Line MD2’s back. And Gummy C-TD’s…

Anyway I love Discmania so thanks for making a thread like this. I have only one non-Discmania disc, Champion Eagle, which I hope to displace with an FD2. And I hope FD2 is like the 2nd run C-FD because I’ve only heard good things about that disc but it is also getting hard to find those.

mtak127 04-08-2014 09:41 PM

Discgolfcenter restocked the Discmania lineup....still waiting for the discmania store to open... :/

rallyguy 04-08-2014 09:47 PM

You and me both...I'm really trying to hold off ordering any discs until it opens.

Will all of the discs produced in D line be available in the store?

First of all you are very welcome, I am here to help you guys find out the things you want to know... I am myself a Discmaniac!

The FD2 will come out at the same time. The release will be soon. It is a lot like the 2nd run FD. It reminds me of the old firebird i used to use. It was super beat up and flew laser straight, and then faded pretty hard. I think everyone will love the FD2.

The Newest MD2's are pretty money as well. they are not table flat, but they are flatter. I am a personal fan of the MD3. all of the flat MD2's that i have thrown are a lot like the standard Jolly Launcher MD3's which are super straight.

I will see if I can do anything about this. I only know about the 4 discs. I was unaware of the 5th one.

Store coming soon guys! keep the questions up! but lets see if we can get some more disc questions!

talltee32 04-09-2014 03:05 AM

I've got a few P-P2's that say either, P-P2 on the bottom or a few that say KCP.
Is there any real difference between the plastics? Are they the same, or is one really KC plastic and the other just P-line?

If you can get a hold of glow MD3s they are like 99.99% the same disc as the old table flat C-MD2s, which is to say super yummy. I know, they are also somewhat rare (though not as rare as the old flat C-MD2s by far) and a little more expensive than regular C-line (but not by huge margin) but thats what I did to replace old flat C-MD2s and stack up on those.

DinosaurThunder 04-09-2014 08:35 AM

What is Discmania's most popular mold world wide? (either in your opinion or based on sales)

Besides Simon and Avery, who is looking to have a break out season from the tour team?

Was the DD ever produced in echo star plastic?

What would you consider the holy grail of the Discmania collecting world? I know this is a fairly subjective question. Ideas I have thought of: proto blue PD2's Avery has, Scandanavian open proto P2, or discs with one of the original DM stamps (the one with "frills" all around Discmania.net comes to mind).

Thanks Ryan!
