Europeans wonder what happened in the US.

And Georgia school with packed hallway photos reports their first half a dozen cases. 250 people staying home for 2 weeks quarantine.

Played a course today that has football and baseball fields adjacent. Some kind of little league football deal going on and I assume it was specifically for African Americans. There were thousands of people jammed together and not a mask in sight. It was so crowded they were actually parking all over a couple of the holes. They certainly weren't taking covid seriously.

It was Woodson for any OKC folks wondering.

Switching to online classes tomorrow and Tuesday pending more test results, then they will decide if in-person classes can resume.

What an absolute ****show. I feel for parents trying to navigate it.

Today I got to observe people indoors for about 2 hours. Figure approximately 350 people, all but 4 had masks, maybe 15 of those still don't know that the nose is supposed to be covered.

Here in WI the governor has required masks indoors.

Probably better then I expected numbers wise...

Maybe people are starting to understand, but I doubt it.

They un-suspended the student who posted the video, just in time to close the school.

On Facebook I write a lot of satire, but its getting harder for a satirist to compete with real life.

in mn we have the same rule

about 95% ish abide by the mask rule in mid sized cities (for mn)

however as you travel towards moar rural communities that number drops significantly

I only go to a few places, grocery store, gas station, Home Depot, but I'd say it's extremely rare to see someone not wearing a mask around here.

So my lovely other half works in the government-run liquor store here and she ran into a woman today who come over to our little island it was rather pissed off because she was unable to buy food or gasoline since apparently she didn't have a mask with her which is weird because the fairies require it. (Ferries ) Anyhow she seemed to lighten up when she was able to get some booze because it's not mandatory but it's only encouraged in the government liquor stores haha

I'm seeing quite a few businesses with signs stating something along the lines of "masks are required. Those with health problems are not required. If you're not wearing a mask, we assume you have a health problem. That's none of our business and we won't ask you about it. You will not be refused entrance or service". Basically, to me, that's saying we acknowledge the mandate (wi mandated masks indoors)but we don't care and will do nothing to enforce it.

This was on a bar door. Bar was packed. Not a single mask in sight. I've heard of similar signs other places too.
