Her old 150 class gems are nice.

I was thinking the same. I've always heard that the plastics have weighting agents added to them to bring them up to weight. I am guessing the 150 class discs had less weighting agents added, maybe even none.

Maybe by having less weighting agents in the light discs they were getting more F2 discs for some reason? So they decided that going blizzard was more cost effective? Just my guess anyways.

Or maybe the weighting agents are already added prior to purchasing the plastics?

Someone knows.

I did keep all my FD's though. I was lucky enough to build up enough backups and couldn't find the equivalent in innova (tried the leo3 and teebirds) and well I love the FD and wanted to keep at least one discmania disc mold in the bag because I still love the brand and hold out hope that Dismania discs original lines will be available at stock/retail pricing in the future.

Have you tried the Infinite Centurion? Heard it’s supposed to be pretty close to an FD.

I can’t say for certain, but been playing a while myself and read the Dave D thread on the old PDGA forum religiously. He talked a lot about weighting agents, I would guess that the plastic used back then was maybe a lower density and a weighting agent was added to achieve heavier discs?

So now it’s a more dense plastic and negatives are used to bring weight down instead of vice versa. Old 150 class plastic was always super gummy also, weighting agent stiffened it up a bit for heavier weights?

Disc design itself comes into play also, wider rimmed discs have more mass along the outer edge. So do sales numbers, for a long time manufacturers claimed that light weight discs just don’t sell. I think that’s shifted somewhat in more recent years, but lighter weight stuff is still a minority.

Sweet. Dates when you can. Also dates on the DD3 & FD (oh, and S-line versions).

Not yet! DD3 and FD are still scheduled for this year

I've been complaining on and off in this thread for so long that 1) I'd like to apologize for all the complaining and 2) I almost forgot what it's like to feel excited! glad to have that back

I considered all our talk “constructive complaint”.

If you haven’t seen the P2 commercial (the one with the Alpacas) it’s pretty funny.

Also, tomorrow is the big day where everyone who wants some P2’s can get some. I’ll check fifteen minutes after the launch to see if they’re sold out.

The biggest store here in Sweden got 900pc P2s . . sold out i a few hours.

"demand a fully meet" . .

Well, tried to get some white ones. As usual, was logged in and added two to my cart immediately and used Apple Pay to check out quickly but they sold out.

Managed to add a couple of gray ones to the cart but was unable after several attempts to check out due to some sort of payment processing error so I gave up.

Oh, well.
