Brodie is going for the most OB in one round price today

I think Brodie is good for the sport so I hope he starts to place better soon or I’m afraid he will start doing something else

But what he has done, is beat a world champion in a PDGA sanctioned event. And I might add, he’s done it in the modern (Paul McBeth) era, where supposedly there’s much more competition than in the Ken Climo era. How many world champions have you beaten in a PDGA sanctioned event? (Asking for a friend). |

Hey look! I beat a guy that had the worst round or tournament of the year! I'm great! Lets all get freaky! |
I beat Climo once. I remember that real well. I took a 2 and he took a 3 that hole...

and I think he deserves a little recognition for playing better than people expected, and beating a world champ? Lulz People expect a certain level of play from top level players, especially from world champions. So go ahead and make excuses for someone new to disc golf, beating a world champion (who’s been playing and touring for YEARS). BTW, you still haven’t told us how many world champions you’ve beaten in a PDGA sanctioned event. Yet you seem eager to trivialize someone else for this very accomplishment, simply because you dislike him. |

Decent round by Brodie today. -1 Limited the OBs much better than yesterday and managed to salvage a par on 18 after going OB on his approach with a circle 2 putt. Should be somewhere around 1010 if the ratings from yesterday hold true today.
With a week of practice and then a week at Smugs, it will be interesting to see how he rebounds from what I'm sure he sees as a very disappointing result at Ledgestone... |

Or he is just going to drop out of every tournament the rest of the year. |

I hope he changes his mind. If not, I'm going to owe Jay Dubs a disc.

I’ll give credit where it is do. He played much better today.

Pity party. Sounds like my high schoolers after a bad game.

So if he really is going back home to put in tons of hours of field work and comes out next year better for it, then so be it. |
I'd enjoy hearing him talk for a few minutes on what exactly it is he thinks he needs to do. Self awareness of your weaknesses is an important skill.

Definitely comes off as super salty tho lol |
I didn't go deep into the Twitter part, but I really see a problem, or even salt....
Critics say that he isn't ready for big tournaments and the spotlight yet. He states, or implies, the same and the same people criticize him for that, too. |

i understand that it´s not for his brand to be out of the top 100. . . but he still needs to play all the courses on tour a few times . . harder to do if he drops out for the rest of the year.
but his placement this week probably broke him for a few days. . .hope he gets back on tour for a few more tries |

So if this is a rhetorical question, you are going to have to spell it out for me. |

I didn’t look that close, but didn’t he more or less throw his rating this weekend? Like, exactly what you would expect someone to do?

Seems like he is in that zone around 975-990 where a lot of guys seems to level off at for awhile. I've seen it many a times around here with the local open players. Getting to that 1000 rating seems to take another level of control and consistency that you really have to put in extra work to get to.

I don’t play a ton of dg anymore and am focusing most of my free time in the trail/ultra running scene, but it’s the same principle. Even with something as simple as running you have strengths and weaknesses. Knowing the race profile ahead of time and how that fits into your style is a key aspect, especially at longer distances when there’s a lot more strategy involved. As far as “bigger” tournaments left this year, what else is left that he’d be possibly skipping? USDGC, but for the moment he hasn’t qualified correct? So the statement of skipping bigger events might seem like a big deal right now, but were in reality ones he wasn’t planning on playing anyway? |

He can bomb and he can putt. All in 8 months. He will be a solid disc golfer at a faster rate than just about anyone who has played the game. Is he yet? No. Is he on the path to being one? Yes.
