Is a Mako3 needed if I already have a Anode?

I almost bought a Mako3 last night but the saw a throwing chart and it doesn't go much farther than my Anode. I use the Anode on short holes and was looking for a similar disc but something that would go farther. They have very similar flight paths and I don't think the distance difference is big enough to spend money on it. I think I may go after a Buzzz or Roc3 instead.

Also I was going to get a Tangent, but I have a Comet so aren't they pretty similar too?

Im not trying to be a jerk, honestly, but are you trolling or are you serious?

Is it just me or has the equipment forum gone crazy?

Throw what you feel comfortable throwing.

Try out different mids because its good to learn them...but...The Mako3 won't be any different in terms of distance from a Buzzz or Roc3. Mid-ranges for most people aren't going to be signficantly longer than your putter. A midrange allows you to hit longer breaking points, tighter lines, or lower ceiling shots because of the increased "speed". Putters can be limited in their line shaping ability unless you carry 5 different types of putter shapes

You should be able to get a lot more distance out of a mako3 than what you get from your anode. The anode is blunt and once it slows down will drop like a rock. The mako3 will fly faster and glide a lot more. They are quite different. The mako3 will get just as much distance as a buzzz or roc3 I would expect.

I dont see any trolling, it is the same reason I no longer bag a Mako, the Anode is very close in flight. Using the Inbounds guide I saw no reason to carry my Mako's anymore once I became real comfortable with my Anodes. No it is not an exact duplicate, but it isn't that different to justify carrying both, IMO of course.

Only disclaimer would be the Mako3 vs the previous Mako. If I am not mistaken, the new Mako3 is 1 tick faster on the Speed chart 5 vs 4. Not exactly sure how this effects the flight guide.

I think what Andy was meaning was this thread:

Why not just post this in that thread?
