For sure on the website at least. For vendors, depends on the vendor if they have gotten them in storage, but I've seen social media posts where they have a box of em that says do not sell before 21 sep 9 mountain time (iirc).

Yeah- Raptor's Roost got ours the other day. Box has a a big reminder on it.

Yeah but I like to throw a lot of wildly flexing forehand shots with the Fortress. Perhaps the Glow FD3 will stay too, we'll see.

I haven't thrown the splice more than a handful of times (maybe literally 5) but fishballer is right. it's VERY OS. but I've never thrown a fortress or glow fd3 so I can't compare to those. I am planning to keep both the splice and sexton FB in the bag

I’m thinking along the lines of the TDx, which didn’t really have a lot of turn. P3 wasn’t a ton more OS than the P2 (although shaped way different). PDx, PD3, and PD2 have similar numbers, things like that.

Some of those were similar enough to existing models that I think they may have cannibalized each other. Having control of the design provides an opportunity to spread models out a bit. Totally get putting the priority on high demand models, but some of those lesser known models could be resurrected into something pretty sweet.

These New Originals will be essentially a reintroduction of the line into the world. Everyone will certainly have their favorite model that isn't in direct spotlight that they'd like to see made first but we'll need to start with the staples of our line first and then add the next ones over time. 2023 should bring a pretty healthy assortment of molds but 2022 will be comprised of much larger inventory with a smaller selection of Originals discs.

C-Line!

What are the chances we see Geo Instincts?

There are chances of that for sure but nothing has been planned at the moment. Geo Line is essentially reserved for box sets at the moment for the most part.

Does Discmania or anyone here know approximately when the new PDs will be coming out? All they have said about all the new Originals is: sometime in Q3/4. Which could mean in a few weeks or Christmas. Just wondering if they will be more likely next few weeks or months or not till end of year?

PD should arrive Q4 this year. FD, too. (not FD2 :) )

I really want to throw the Splice. It feels good in the hand. But I don't want to throw my Primal edition and ruin its value. When will we be seeing the stock runs?

Splice is similar to Mutant with production challenges. Both have been added back to the list as we've fixed both molds and can resume. Early 2022 for both is now more likely than this year.

It looks EXACTLY like Chameleon. I didn’t think that the “EYETALIAN” plastic was in use beyond the MD3 and DD3, currently.

A few pages back, though, there was a comment about the Italian plastic pellets (why that’s actually a selling point is odd - Italy isn’t known for petrochemicals) finding their way to the Latitude facility.

Just making sure. Thanks all!

It looks like people just didn't dig in the right olive garden to find this plastic. Itsa gooda, we promise!

Hey Discmania - Any plans to make the Essence in weights < 165 grams? 150s would be even better, from my perspective.

Thanks!

This is probably the most challenging thing at the moment. It will remain a goal to do so but producing discs in lighter weights than 165 is difficult with these machines. Lots of waste

I don't use youtube or Instagram all that often but wanted to share my experience with the new prototype dd3. The plastic is grippy and somewhat firm. A lot firmer than previous runs of c line. I have thrown the disc probably 10 times in a field and it is holding up well. It never landed on gravel or hit a tree, but I still believe this plastic will be as durable as the Innova c line. The flight is a bit more OS compared to a flat s line dd3 max weight, a domey s line dd3 max, and a domey s line dd3 167 gr. It's by no means a pd2 but it definitely comes out of a flex for me sooner than the others. I can throw 380-400 or so on a perfect line and conditions, but I'd say 340-360 is my consistent distance so factor that into my experience. I'm glad I got the chance to try this out early and can't wait to see the rest of the lineup in some new Discmania plastic.

Can you elaborate on this? Why so? Thanks.

Champion type plastic holding up well after 10 throws in a field? Amazing!

Sorry boss, let me go throw it in a parking lot for you. Sorry the review didn't suit your standards.

Awesome, PD and FD are both a staple in my bag. FD2 is also, but I have a good enough stock of them to make it until 2023 if that is how long I have to wait.

I know right. That's why I'm going to Montana, gotta beat these VIP Northmen into something workable before I die. 😉

(Kinda true though)
