And no, the DD3 isn't the answer. Maybe some special run high $$ PD2 but I can't grip PD2. I need 10-11 speed, headwind dependable that doesn't fade and skip like a PD. And my CD and DD are gone :(

Foil comes off easier than matte stamps, DX stamps softer than star, thin flight plates need more pressure and I'd bet they don't always hit real deep

This is true. All discs are different like the foils are as well. We strive to have the least amount of tangibility of stamp on the discs so in theory some of them could be stamped hotter but that sometimes means a more tangible stamp in hand which some people don't like very much. D-Line discs are pretty hard to avoid stamping without being able to feel the stamp when running your hands over it.

I'd 100% rather have a foil rub off a little vs smashing the flight plates so hard that there's an indent where the stamp is.
