It's a fantastic disc for sure. Mine is my workhorse distance driver. Its a practical disc too. A neutral 9(?) speed is good for most everyone. 75% of those destroyer thowers would probably be better served by an insanity.

But if I would have had to guess, I woulda thought volt, ion, anode, resistor, proxy maybe even like the mayhem woulda been higher than the insanity.

Was just browsing the infinite discs top 100 discs thread (ever so awesomely posted by infinitedylan) and, to no surprise, the envy is way up there at #11. But, much to my surprise, the next gyro disc on there is the insanity at 36. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE my insanity. It's my go to driver on practically every hole. I'm very shocked, however, to see it so high on that list, especially it's place among other gyros. I woulda thought several discs woulda been higher.

What do you guys think?

volt and ion were hella low lolol

I was shocked by that as well. I wonder if some of the uninformed out there gloss over them as being "old", instead, foolishly reaching for the brand new shiny toy.

Oh well, more for you and I!

There a couple diehard Innova guys in Cincy that have one gyro in their bag and its the Insanity.

When you put it that way you kind of answered your own question. No doubt for me about the Envy, appeals to everyone. Same thing probably applies to the insanity.. Out of 10 people that bought ONE.. It probably worked for 2 or more people as opposed to 1/10 or 1/20.. Thus generating its own hype and sales... surprised the inertia didn't catch on but that was so 8 years ago, kinda like the Volt and Ion..

Agreed. Their shipping kills me. I'll spend an extra 50 cents on a disc elsewhere to save $4 on shipping. If they offered free shipping (like several other places) I'd never look elsewhere for plastic. But they don't, so I do....

Idk. I think you could get turn on a proton mayhem. They are flippy out the box. Unless you throw under 300, then i apologize for the post.

Is it just me or are the Neutron Mayhems more overstable? I have a few N mayhems that take a good rip for some turn while a fresh max weight proton will flip out the box.

This has been my experience. Neutrons are almost straight to fade for me when new, throwing them 500' or so. Very mild high speed turn. Protons require hyzer to keep straight thrown over 400' for me. I only bag Neutron.
