I've been slowly gaining some real appreciation for my Impulse as an understable compliment to my Volts. In terms of speed, glide, and feel it is the closest MVP brand mold to the Volt imo. I can finesse it without too much touchiness and it does all things understable well. Right now it's solidly in the bag. My only complaint is the lack of plastic options.

Since I've been really enjoying my Pyro I decided to get a backup while the Prisms are still easy to get. This one is the lightest I've seen @ 176g, opaque, and really grippy.

For me the Insanity is a hyzer-flip-to-flat specialist. If it gets it's nose a little too turned it's done. It likes to ride flat or just slightly turned and fade. I've never had consistent results using it for left to right lines (rhbh). The Impulse gets a lot more lift/glide while riding the anny. When hyzer flipping it doesn't "stick" to flat like the Insanity, rather it rolls over and moves laterally. It flies a little slower and with more glide. Though their turn and fade #'s can be similar they have different roles. |
I guess they haven't learned from their past errors. What an ugly color to have on the rim of such an otherwise pretty looking disc...

Only threw it about 10 times in a field, but the flight is impressive. Very nice straight to fade, with a touch more glide than the Deflector. I really like them as a pair. Reminds me a bit of the Bard/Justice pairing. |
