You should petition the course club for a lake dredging party. Maybe you would get it back, and if its like some courses, have 1000 discs to pick through.

Funny you say that, a guy I play with and his buddy were raking a small alcove of the lake where they lost a bunch of discs, and got yelled at by someone on the park board because they are screwing up the bluegill spawn....so i think a lake dredging party is out of the question...at least for the time being.

no spit throughs... it hits and sticks.. never rolls away if you miss.

need a lot of snap. very susceptible to wind... seems they just float away

jrawk 06-19-2013 09:52 PM

snaps the wrong word.. spin is what i meant

franklinturnover 06-19-2013 10:10 PM

sorry if it has already been addressed in the this thread, but are the rgl pures closest in shape to the grip line pures?

Gold Line will be a tick less stable out of the box. That's just what Iv'e noticed.

Johnny Depth 06-19-2013 10:52 PM

Which plastic has the best glide?

I will probably pick one up tomorrow!

Generally GL will have a little better glide, but the Pure already has incredible glide for a putter. I don't really think you can go wrong with either.

Johnny Depth 06-19-2013 10:55 PM

Cool. I will prob get a GoldLine then since I already have an Opto coming soon

My only complaint about the RGL is they can be hard to grip when wet.

Johnny Depth 06-19-2013 10:57 PM

What's the R in RGL stand for?

Recycled

Johnny Depth 06-19-2013 11:00 PM

Is that just suppose to be cheaper?

They do not make Gold Line Pures, they only make the RGL, so if you want one in Gold plastic that is your only option. Maybe there are tourney discs that are the exception.

Gold Line Pures exist, but they're not the easiest to find. For what it's worth Johnny, I throw Optos and love them. Tons of glide, flat, and the pink I've been throwing since Winter started still is plenty stable. Because I moved so close to it, Winton has become my home course so it's seen plenty of gravel too.

If you like your Anode, the Pure will be similar. It's more shallow but often compared to it in terms of flight.

another lat64 question... can you compare the river and saint? I may pick one up tomorrow as well

I keep 2 of each in the bag. They cover the stable-understable part of my fairways. As far as flight characteristics, i would say my max weight opto river is similar to my 172g saint. Of course some big arms may disagree. (My max d is about 375' on the course). It has the hss that you would expect, flattens out and flies straight forever, then fades out on the end. For both you need a little room to work them unless your throwing a nice long anny. Nose angle makes a huge difference in flight. Both of these molds are the easiest to put on the lines that i want of all dis in my bag.

Johnny Depth 06-20-2013 12:18 AM

Okay. I'm just looking for something to hyzer-flip for some deep bombs

DD RENEGADE!

(Lucid/opto plastic)

Jkosk 07-02-2013 01:11 AM

YESSS.

Finally found some black Pures at GGGT. They are blast Zero Softs with gold foil.

I always putt with Hards, but I was looking to carry some Softs for death putt scenarios where I need to reduce the possibility of hard bounce outs and roll aways as much as possible.

Still hoping to find some black Hards sometime soon!

Gotta say, I've been putting with my Zero Soft Pure (black) and have completely dropped putting with my Zero Hards. Death putt or not, I'm pullin out my Soft Black... my Soft Midnight.. my Murdered out Softie..

Man I really gotta work on this whole nickname thing.

jrawk 07-02-2013 10:15 AM

^ lol :)

yeah i reach for my blue soft pure more often than my opto or TM2's. I love the security it provides of hit and stick. no skips, roll aways or spit throughs. I don't have the same range with it as the opto or tm2, but i'm learning it's limits.

Johnny Depth 07-02-2013 10:18 AM

I got a free EZE pure. Is this the equivalent to dx? I really like the grip

keltik 07-02-2013 10:21 AM

EZE is more akin to KC Pro.

and they did make a limited run of GL Pures last year for Worlds in Charlotte. I own one.

Is that stamped differently than the swoosh or shield stamps? I've managed to procure one of each of those two. If there's a different stamp, I will have to look for one.

OK. That's the shield stamp I mentioned. Wonderful plastic. I just can't bring myself to throw it.

sloppydisc 07-02-2013 10:37 AM

I have a nice stash of those if you want one at fair price.

**** you, Sloppy! It's a good thing I just moved my PayPal balance to my bank account. I love my readily-available Optos. I'm sure someone will bite though. I've heard they're great fliers without being domey like the RGLs.

jrawk 07-02-2013 10:45 AM

They are, they are just like flat optos. The platic feels more like Opto than GL. They don't chunk like GLs. I wonder if they just added a bit of coloring agent to the opto mix to make them opague.

I just find that the hards come out of my hand more consistently.

Quite honestly the main reason I switched AWAY from Challengers (which I putted with for almost 6 years until I got my Pures) is because I couldn't find a firm enough Challenger. I love my putters hard as a rock and Zero Hard feels great to boot.

The black Softs feel good, and I will use them as outlined before, but they will never be my main putter. Gotta go with firm!

keltik 07-02-2013 01:23 PM

yeah I bought mine from sloppy....

StarFirebird 07-02-2013 10:40 PM

Pure FTW! :D

Sorry guys I'm tired and delirious right now. lol

I'm curious too. Last two I bought were $25 each. Did I overpay or get a great deal?

Beats me???? I paid 24.99. Cover the shipping and I'd part with one. Or, I'll just hold on to them until GL is on every shelf and they are worth $15. I am dumb. :D

I was trying to help a guy out since I have a handful of them.
