Has anyone had a chance to throw the factory store circle stamped champs? Would they be considered "good" gazelles. Looking at trying them and want to know if these are a good representative of gazelles.

Did you even try to look back 30 or 40 into this thread?

First hole I played yesterday evening; a downhiller with a tight donut hole opening to begin and the basket nicely protected by Weeping Willows. **** those willows are growing like weeds this year with all the rain.

Anywho, parked it, best drive I've ever had on this hole! I used it a few more times for approaches. Carved some sweet lines and it was as predictable & forgiving as my Champ Leos. Just not quite as far. I think a Gazelle is in my cart to stay.

When I really seemed to get behind it it would fly a lot like my DX, but with a tiny bit more fade at the end. On flick shots where I would put too much anny on it it would turn over, but once it came out of the anny it would hold the straight line for longer than expected and then fade gently at the end. After my round I did some field work with a 10x, 11x, Glo, the Circle Champ, a DX, and a Star. The two Champ ones were consistently landing in the same area, and if I would put more effort into throwing the Circle Champ backhand it would fly on a right turning line very much like a DX does when you overpower it. Pretty sure that with some work and some beating in, this will become my go-to Gazelle because it will hold that sweet spot for way longer than a DX will.

Can't compare it to a Cheetah though. Anyone else?

Finally got one of mine (175g orange) out yesterday for some field work. For comparison I pitted it with a 175g Totem Teebird that I've thrown some but is definitely not broken in much, and I was maxing out on a Beast and an S-PD yesterday in the 320-340 range on low flat lines.

The Gazelle flew, for me, like a new, beefy Gazelle. Very straight with a good fade at the end. I could get the Teebird about 20ft further on average. The Gazelle (probably because it is brand new) had a bit stronger fade than the Teebird, but I expect some of that will come out. It was flying kind of 6/4/0/2.5 for me, I'd say. It did not want to flip at all. I had a few throws that were a bit OAT-y, but still it resisted turning.

I also threw a couple of forehands with it, and saw similar results.

Overall, I agree with the above posts... a little bit shorter Totem Teebird in flight. Nice Gazelle, and a nice disc overall

DiscNutt123 08-30-2013 01:14 PM

In his new "old school round" video on YouTube, McBeth throws a brand new DX Gazelle 460' on the last hole. It was pretty awesome.

Wallerus 08-30-2013 01:51 PM

Would anyone be apt to selling a Black Rainbow Stamped Gazelle? Or trading for one? Doesn't have to be circle-stamped, or pre-flight. Just has sentimental value, as my first one was lost in a watery grave.

PhillyMatt 08-30-2013 02:40 PM

Don't think you'll find black with rainbow unless its circle or bar stamp.

And can't have mine, sorry

Eco81 08-30-2013 04:26 PM

There might be an 11x with a rainbow stamp but would cost ALOT

Where is the video of Mcbeth throwing the gazelle?

jsc430 08-30-2013 04:28 PM

See Mcbeth's post..."the 90's old school challenge" where he and another dude go out an play a round with 5 new dx discs each.

brian j 09-04-2013 08:41 AM

i just got a 170g glow champ gazelle and from the few field throws i've made with it i think this thing will work it's way into my bag pretty quickly.

PhillyMatt 09-04-2013 08:59 AM

Little too domey for my taste but the weight is right.

PhillyMatt 09-09-2013 10:19 AM

I just got a fat stack of circle stamp champ gazelles, looking to trade the mint 174g red one for a blue one of any weight, if anyone has

Or any other color besides:

Orange
Pink
Yellow
Green

Which I have. Will pay your shipping.

KyNitro 09-09-2013 10:25 AM

Also Glo Gazelles are on community discs. I ordered a handful, they are domey than I expected. Gonna throw one today to see how it is. I'll report back in.

Glo gazelles are here.

See, and I like the domey ones now.
I dont even carry an 11X any more, just the domey CE. Its glide belittles its speed, and makes it equal to my faster fairways, like my Eagles.

Its also my #1 thumber.

Eco81 09-27-2013 03:47 PM

anyone else thrown or been throwing the new circle stamp jolly rancher plastic gazelles from the factory

I have one in the bag and love it! Gives me a consistent flight and has worked well in the woods for me. I wouldn't consider it be as consistent as my 9x KC Pro but I think it will be after a few more rounds. This disc replaced my champ glow gazelle almost immediately.

I just ordered two more to add to the Gazelle Collection. Although I am stuck with two orange and two yellows now! Didn't plan my color management very well.

PhillyMatt 10-21-2013 09:25 AM

did not like the way mine flew, sold all 5 fro $100

DinosaurThunder 10-21-2013 09:34 AM

It took me awhile and few hours out on a soccer field to like it. That being said, besides a few specific shots where I think it performs better, it still sits behind my KC pro and star molds.

jsc430 10-21-2013 10:37 AM

The CSs are just wayyy to stable for me to actually believe its a gazelle. My buddy had two new champ teebirds straight off the shelf that we were throwing against my two CS 175 gazelles on a pretty open 28oish ft hole. They were all landing in pretty much the same spot with a similar flight path. The gazelles had slightly more HHS turn but neither really ever flipped. The gazelles were skipping like crazy too.

pnasalberta 10-21-2013 10:53 AM

The circle stamp Gazzels are the most amazing thing ever they can handle so much torque and they are so straight with a decent fade. I love the slower less glidey fairway drivers like the new cheetahs and the tridents. The Gazzel has fit the gap i was looking for between the Cheetah and the trident.

DinosaurThunder 11-05-2013 10:36 AM

Do any prominent pro's throw the Gazelle anymore? I have watched a number of ITB videos and have never seen a Gazelle mentioned. I'm guessing this may be due to the similar flight characteristics to the TeeBird, but still found it surprising. I personally carry two Gazelles in the bag in addition to my TeeBird.

PhillyMatt 11-05-2013 11:15 AM

I sold two of my wall hangers yesterday... was really weird but i made a big purchase so i had to let some stuff go to cover it.

now i feel like the flood gates are open.. tempted to sell a few more.

Anyone be interested in a mint ching gazelle?

yangs1 11-05-2013 04:27 PM

I put myself together an all DX Bag and I picked up a Gazelle for it last weekend. I am thoroughly impressed with it. Just a laser beam for me. I'll be getting some some more for sure for my regular bag.

I don't think anyone does. KC played an old school round with one recently, but that's all I've heard of. I don't even know anyone else who's ever thrown one. It's my go to driver unless I want a big right turning S-curve.

jsc430 11-05-2013 06:55 PM

I think most innova/DM pros throw the FD, which is sorta the step child to the gazelle. I also have 2 gazelles in the bag, one 11x, one glo and a teebird.
