Laurel Springs

I realize this course was closed by the time most of you started playing, but I'm interested in anything you can share about Boylan's, if you played it.

They discuss it quite a bit on the NC documentary:

I think that was the fastest filling tournament each year.

Never got to play it. I was registered for the Am Nationals which was to be held there but they sold it and we played in Burlington instead.

All I've got is a tragic story. Back in the pre-internet age, when a spiral-bound course guide with unreliable directions was all we had, my brother drove up to Boylan's, pulled in the driveway, and was told the course had been pulled the week before.

I know the course was historically significant in NC, but was it known nationally ?

Yes, the tournament filled with all top pros of the day, even the west coasters.

So, are there any discs from that 1987-1995 era, that are still in production ?
