For me, the Splice is a far different disc than the FD3. It's much more OS and has significantly less glide.

Yeah but I like to throw a lot of wildly flexing forehand shots with the Fortress. Perhaps the Glow FD3 will stay too, we'll see.

I saw Jomez claiming that Eagle through a C-line Tactic during the Maple Hill DGPT. Did they run this in c-line, or was it Opto (or whatever Discmania calls Opto) plastic?

Thats a funky one. They did it in new C-line (i.e. "Italian blend"). Likely a goodish while if ever, before it makes its way to consumers. First instance of a Frankenstein combination (plastic from one line injected into a mold from another) that I know of.

Eagle's been throwing that disc for a few weeks now. I'd expect there's going to be quite a few oddball variants of molds/plastic types coming up that they will make just for the pro guys. Maybe eventually we will get to see some of them come to production.

My guess is that Jussi is finding out that making discs isn't that easy. They had more production with Innova I think, considering we have seen such few discs made so far. Maybe the discs are made and on there way, getting late in the year though.

Cloudbreaker 3's/other tour series prioritized + ramp up for Holiday mystery boxes most likely. Still haven't seen Perkins/Montgomery/Klein tour series discs this year. Maybe the upcoming DM hosted DGPT match play championships or USDGC will see some of those drop.

First batch of stock production P2s are reaching dealers now with release date in a couple weeks. They had the giveaways for C-line MD3 and DD3 prototypes in the past month which have been arriving at their destinations.

Still plenty of Evolution and Active line discs available on shelves, just not the new Splice/Mutant & limited Tilt.

Being prepared for the holiday season demand and start of 2022 'season' are likely reasons for the slow rollout of their own DM produced discs.

Drop to where? DM site? Vendors? Eagle and Simon only?

and I think vendors will have them then, but I'm not sure about that.

Flick Maniac 09-09-2021 05:04 AM

For sure on the website at least. For vendors, depends on the vendor if they have gotten them in storage, but I've seen social media posts where they have a box of em that says do not sell before 21 sep 9 mountain time (iirc).
