I never understood the Tensor dislike.

Agree with you. Very reliable and wear like iron. Super straight with a very touch of fade. Glad they never seem to great in to US.

It feels weird in my BH grip.

Most of us are used to the feel and flight behavior of the more traditional, large diameter mids. The Tensor acts and feels different. I would always try nose down hyzer shots at mid distances and the Tensor would always push forward on the hyzer angle more than I wanted. It just doesn't get good lateral action, which is what most want in an overstable mid.

I thought of it as an OS putter that was a bit fast. Carried it along side other putters. Never really cranked on it.

I think the Tensor was an example of Gyro gone wrong.. It tended to push forward and little lateral movement.. I was hoping to use it as a overstable short FH disc but it turned too easy and didn't pop back. It was just a whole lot of meh. I could see it being more popular if it was tagged as a putter.

Entropy has that covered now tho, so I don’t really think it would have a spot in the lineup

Hyped as an os mid, wasn't. Feels weird. Gazillion mids available that just fly straight already. Obscure name.

I think the wing of the Matrix is the biggest clue that we have regarding the direction they will take with the new mids. Compared to the Axis/Vector the overmold of the Matrix accounts for a greater percentage of the whole disc...it's almost the entire wing like their putters. More overmold = more gyro.

Doesn't the Theory and Matrix share mold cores? Maybe I'm wrong but if so it makes stopping production on Theories even more curious.

The Matrix was the first of a new core, iirc.
