Nah, I find them more stable and I really really like the electron feel.

While I'm at it and since I'm the only one up still.. Or maybe I'm scaring everyone off.. Tournament is coming, time to set the bag for the summer and tune in on my molds...

Spin, Envy, Comet and Tangent aren't moving.. I play woods golf and that's what I need..

Inertia 155 and Switch 165... prime distance and fairway drivers..

I'm still a little shaky on drivers.. Probably because I'm down again and topping out around 300' flat.. Though I swear that's not accurate.. I'm sure I'm still a 350' player haha..

Crave, 143 Fission Photon, and N Vanish are all favourites.. I'm currently exploring the Craves more in different weights have a 159 N and 165 Proton, considering a 152 Plasma... the Proton is a little beefy..

Vanish is my favourite for an understable disc.. Sometimes a 165 or 174 Relay comes along for the ride. I'm considering a 150 Relay..

The plan is to not invest in Vanishes but rather try and continue to beat my Inertias in.. Try and focus on Inertia, Crave, Photon, Switch and Relay (until I beat a Crave in..) The Mayhem is the "maybe" headwind driver and the 162 fission Volt could be a real contender, 155 N Wave is the current optional step up from the Inertias..

Last time it was windy I got nailed pretty bad, lost a Resistor that I never clicked with.. I'm thinking 160 plasma Photon should cover what the Wave can't.. Yeah the Wave flies straight in a beefy way for me.. Love the feel..

Any advice? Besides "finish your beer and go to bed?"

Forget the Mayhem and just get a heavier Photon for headwinds. At yours...*cough* and my *cough*:D... distance, you really don't need anything higher speed than a Photon. Plus, a lighter faster disc isn't necessarily going to handle the wind any better...

...if you have a shop to fondle discs in before purchase, even mid160s photons can be pretty overstable if you get one of the no shoulder flat tops and they just eat up headwinds, ime. Mine is actually a 157g N that is of that variety and its just as OS as my max weight but holds straight a bit longer before fading.

Yeah that was the conclusion I was getting too.. Haha.. I still like to try and throw stuff I know I shouldn't. Its more fun when it's naughty. :D.

How's the handling on a 160 Plasma? The Photon seems like a good mold to get married to.

brutalbrutus 05-13-2019 01:35 AM

I've never thrown a plaz photon but I am guessing, if they have the same kind of rounded top, that they fly like the earlier fissions when new.

Oh...btw
