Another vote for avoiding discs designed to float. Find a few used, $5, quality discs and run with those. You may even find a perfectly worked in gem that becomes your favorite thrower (happened to me)

I like to pick up used DX discs for this. My current water disc is a DX cheetah, and for more beef I have a DX boss that I picked up in a used bin for $5 together.

Found discs with no numbers.

My water disc for YEARS was a DX Shark. For some reason (go figure) when I wasn't worried about losing the disc, I never did. Every shot landed safe. I got out of my own head.

When you care less, you shoot better. (in my case) DX/X/Base molds of your usual discs are the way to go!

Exactly!

Agree with those above who say to get a cheap DX (or base plastic) or used version of your favorite disc for the distance and turn/fade throw you need over that water.

Funny we should be having this conversation... It was windy as hell yesterday and I was meeting my usual DG Partner for a round after work. He commented that he was worried about losing discs with the conditions, so I stopped by PAS and raided the used rack and got him two of his favorite driver (Beast) in DX and a DX Roc for $12 total. One Beast flipped over and carried over a fence, but at least it wasn't his Champs that he loves.

Used DX is perfect for those unsure days!
