I put elmo on one of those for my daughter and it blurred pretty much right away. I hope you have better luck. It was one of my earlier dyes though. Maybe I should try again as the local shop has a couple of those still.

Do you have a pic of this blurred mini? a before and after blur?

it seems like the cheap thin innova minis have a coating on them? maybe that prevents the dye from getting into the plastic and makes it blur easily in the plastic coating? im just thinking out loud. ive noticed the coating more on the uvs and the old glow minis with no star stamp

if you dont have to have glows i would recommend sticking with the first run aviar minis. ive dyed alot with good results and ther use to be tons of dyed ones on ebay. you can readily get blue, dayglo and orange from discgolfcenter for i think $3 each. with those minis you can be 100% sure theyre gonna look good and dye great

I got the champ glo first run Aviars (with star stamp). Fingers crossed that these work well. I dont need them to glow once dyed but I hope they dont blur too quickly. This is for an art project for wall hangers

ah thats cool. but the ones you pictured arent actually mini aviars, theyre the aero mold. i have one in my hand right now and they do feel and look semi like glow champ, its hard to tell cause theyre small but i think you should have decent luck

Most Minis are made with the cheapest plastic blends possible from what i have been told, and these blends dont take dye. The Mini Drivers have weighting agent in them and may take dye but i have yet to get one, be careful of "star" stamped minis that may not be actual star plastic blend.
