I like board flat Neutrons with a high PLH. They start out like a broken in Teebird, very straight with a late, dependable fade and no turn. As they season the fade comes later, and eventually they get a little high speed turn. I ended up ditching the Volt for a combo of Crave & Wrath. The Crave powers down better and the Wrath fights wind better. One of the areas where the Crave really shines is medium range forehand shots. It's my go to when I want to flick from the tee and need a lower flying line than I can get with my mids but don't want the big fade & skip of a more aggressive driver. I agree with you that Volts feel a little slower than PD's. I've had a little more luck with their consistency though. All my Neutrons, Protons and Eclipse have flown about the same TB style flight for me, with FR's and Plasmas showing a little high speed turn. |
I have watermelon Crave, Proton Clash and Neutron Resistor on slow fairway slot, but Crave/Clash combo doesn't see many throws nowdays. Lift and Electron Volt have taken longer driving duties and Tangent, Matrix and Pilot handles shorter cases.
Should work with Crave/Clash on the field to see how they fly again, I also feel like I often mess up my grip/release point when I use them now (rarely). |
what does everyone use for hyzerflip and turn over putter drives and approaches
ive tried beating up a electron ion back in the day to a clovertop and puddle top but it actually still was just straight ive also tried a plaz theory but its crap unless its a longer mid distance drive i used to use a dx pna aviar back in the day for this shot |
Glad you asked buddy.. I'm pretty happy with the proton Spin, a Vertex is a close second.

Electron Pilot.

Light weight E Atom does well for me. I’m currently using a soft Swan there but could easily go Atom.

I used it for a while, went back and forth with the it, the Voodoo and the Atom. Eventually I came to the conclusion that I did not like the shape and tallness of either the Spin or Voodoo and the Atom wasn't understable enough. I went back to the Pure for a while. I have been putting with it in midgrade Tui for the last year and a few weeks ago decided to try it out in premium. I do believe it is staying in the bag. Envy for stable drives, Atomic Tui for hyzerflips or turning drives. |
