Discmania is coming out with a putter/mid that's beefy & beadless?!?! I'll definitely be buying a few. I'm excited to see how they compare to my Pigs/MD5s for sidearm shots.

Jackals are a Discmania store exclusive. Dealers don’t have them.

I rolled the dice and I'm very happy with what I got (see attached picture). Like Discmania's description says, they are pretty flat and fly overstable for an FD. I took my S-line out of the bag because I wasn't loving the dome, so I'm hoping this pink one will make the bag after I get used to the flight. Right now it's overlapping a bit with my Royal Rage, but I imagine that will change as it starts to beat in.

UhrigDG 10-25-2019 11:04 AM

I didn’t get so lucky on the color of my jackal stamped FD. I bought a 168g and besides the color a it’s great disc. The extra stability keeps it laser straight if you rip on it, flies very similar to my fav 11x Teebird. I didn’t think it had nearly the dump that my slightly seasoned RR still has.

DiscinFiend 10-25-2019 05:20 PM

Are D-Line P1s going OOP?

Mine got lost in the mail for a few days, but you got my hopes up seeing how bright yours were. I got two brown ones. The one is puke green inside of a brown ring. Hopefully they fly well enough that the color won't matter. If Innova or discmania offered the feel of the swirly plastic in normal colors I would buy that so fast.

From what I've seen, all of the lighter weights were pretty ugly colors. All of the pretty one's I've seen have been heavier.

According to the official discontinue release, only C and S line are going OOP in the P1.

Set them out in the sun for a few days and they might lighten up. I had a brown turn into a grey after 3 days in the direct outdoor sun.

Been day dreaming about C line FD2 for a couple weeks as my RR has started to develop some turn without hyzer release.

The website shows the FD2 coming out in July. We are almost there. I kid of course, but am a little surprised that they never updated their webpage when that date came and went.

The Albatross 10-31-2019 03:49 PM

@Discmania Support, will you fill us in on what happened with the FD2? Obviously something went off-track.

Did the first run just come out too overstable, or not to your liking? Will we see the same first run discs that are available in Europe here in the States, or are you just jumping straight to the second run for US customers? I'm just spit-balling hypothesis, and would much rather get real support and answers from the source.

Seriously though, just picked up a backup RR, would really like to check out a slightly less board flat prod line.

The stock run that's available here in Finland is just as flat as the RR, but just slightly more overstable in my opinion.

Horsman 11-07-2019 01:53 PM

Any chance of Stiff P-Line P3X's or luster P3X's

A fine question indeed. Same sweet sweet recipe as usual. New thing, killer artwork, new thing? I know, that's super specific. These should be the best ones so far.

Swirl MD5, coined as "Not-So-Swirly MD5" will be available next Friday November 15. There are some nice ones for sure but what these lack in cosmetic appeal will surely be made up by the flight. Hands down the most overstable MD5 made to date. And flat, too!

FD2 will be released fairly soon. We had to choose some battles with disc purchases and elected to push the FD2 back a bit. The flight on these is (are?) superb though. Ouch, grammar. We like 'em, okay?!

No particular plans for those just yet. We've got a good disc in this neighborhood coming this year though that might just seal the deal.

Unless this new disc is a clone of the BB aviar or P3X then it will not seal the deal. If I wanted a zone or harp clone then I would just throw a zone or a harp.

I'll believe the flight is superb if they are ever actually released.

Can't wait for this C line run of FD2's to finally drop. The FD2 has become my most thrown mold in my bag. I have a 175g that I've bagged since the release and it's gotten so beat in, that's it's flippy like an FD, but it has the signature FD2 fade still. Then I also bag a lighter 168g and a fresh 175g as well. These three discs can cover so many shots for me.

jtowneagle 11-11-2019 02:53 PM

The newest run of cloudbreakers were very impressive. I picked up a few in the upper 160's, pop topped, actually swirly, and they bomb with being flippy. Keep up the solid molding.

Are we looking at a 2019 release still, or are these most likely not going to hit stores until 2020?

based off discmanias (innovas) ability to produce discs. i would guess 2021 for all stock discs. cant even find D line P1s on their site. Many others are sold out too

These should come before the end of the year. At the latest early 2020.

Great to hear that! We're very happy with how the latest runs of CB have been flying for sure.

At latest these will come early 2020. Most of which have been made but just need to be purchased.

I have a 178g Neo Evolution Method on the way and I was wondering how true to the 5,5,0,3 the flight is? I love the feel of the plastic but really nope that it doesn't start to turn over with a little bit of power

There's a Method thread you might want to check out. But to answer you here, not even the slightest hint of turn for me. It flips up, but it never quite seems like it wants to just go straight.

midairmatthew 11-14-2019 03:40 PM

To elaborate for clarity, it'll go straight for a bit, but the whole time it seems angry about it. And when it starts to fade, it doesn't dump, it's more like, "Hahahaha! Fool! Now I'll have my way with you!" and it suddenly cuts into a gliding hyzer finish.

I love the Method a lot, if you can't tell. :)

mshelton 11-18-2019 08:42 PM

Probably been asked before but worded different but here goes;

I wanted to try a CD2 and went to the local disc shop, saw about 20 Roaming Thunder 2s on the shelf, all were the color of faded cat barf or in simpler terms "lost", why?

needless to say I passed on a purchase

Innova swirl game rn

I think we'll see a lot less next year. Probably see other stuff instead.

I'm bummed because it's sometimes my only chance to get a favorite disc in SLine... *Cough* S-P1x *cough* S-MD

ChefKoolaid 11-19-2019 08:17 AM

Weird thing is Innova used to have some nice swirls back in the day, seemingly unintentionally. Idk how they can still be failing at their swirly production runs.

Detrik023 11-19-2019 11:14 AM

If you check out OTB Discs, they’ve been putting up a ton of beautiful swirly FD’s with a variety of stamps. Some are boring but mostly they’ve been on par with some Discraft swirls or prodigy spectrum stuff

I tried one out and loved it, so I bit the bullet and went for the lightest colors I could find for a couple back ups. It sucks that the colors aren't great, but I do really love the feel of the plastic over the stock S-line.

Supreme flight actually has a few S-P1xes left. I thought about snagging them, but this year I found that I prefer a beat in P2 for that slot.

Those can be found if you really want em. Havent seen them pull a huge price in the FB markets, although that is based on Finnish data

We're glad you like it! That's probably a pretty spot on analysis. The Method in general is by no means a meathook. They start off pretty overstable but will definitely beat in eventually to give some turn, sometimes more than you would like on the occasional throw, but overall they are very reliable and can handle some pretty good torque while still offering a smooth fade at the end.

The online presence of buyers through social media showcasing discs has certainly shed a new light on the collector market for sure. We'll make sure to get some good R&D in during this off season and see if we can come up with something special. It's time to Reinvent our Game as well.
